Resumo: The international working environment where the volunteers will perform, will make them easier to adapt to any working conditions, to find easier a job after finishing the EVS project and to be more tolerant with each others.
The volunteers will develop attitudes of tolerance and diversity understanding, which will make easier their integration in a multicultural society. Through the project specific activities, the volunteers will gain competences and skills related to rural and urban development, to environment protection and skills of working with pupils and other young people.
The personal and social development of the volunteers will be achieved mostly by their access to non formal education methods and by their direct involvement in EVS stage. The EVS stage will contribute to the volunteers` learning process and the knowledge, abilities and skills acquired during the EVS can be found later in the Youthpass certificate, issued at the end of EVS stage. Each volunteer will permanently fill the Youthpass certificate, based on a personalized learning plan, with the support of the coordinator and of the mentor. At the end of each month, will be organized a brainstorming with all the volunteers and mentors on the topic of making the Youthpass, thus to be easier at the end of EVS project to fill their Youthpasses. At the end of the project, each volunteer will receive a Youthpass certificate which will recognize the skills that they have acquired in a non formal learning context.
Perfil: Volunteer profile and its recruitment process, will respect the ensurance of general access to EVS. Thus, will be excluded to ask ask volunteers to have a certain ethnie,religion, sexual orientation, political opinion and will not be requested professional qualifications, a certain experience or a xertain educational level.
The profile of the desirable volunteer will be:
- age between 1 - 30 years
- adaptability to an multicultural working environment
- desire to work outdoor and promote ecological and environmental education
- desire to participate to youth activities using non formal education methods
The existence of vacancy in the EVS project, will be communicated using the following tools:
- posters at the partner organizations
- annoncements on the partners web pages
- information sessions about the project during the meetings with young people from the local communities
- ads on the webpage of the coordinator organization (www.atfpdr.eu) and posting messages on discussion groups specific to EVS and youth projects.
The volunteers selection will be done in 2 steps. In the first step, the selection will be done at each partner level. Thus, each volunteer will submit an European CV and a motivation letter to the partner organizations. Each partner will organize an interviw with the candidats and after that interview will be selected the volunteers. The list eith the selected volunteers will be sent to the host organization. The second step of the slection will consist in checking the resumes and motivation letters by the host organizations and online interview by skype, with each volunteer selected in the first stage. The interview will follow the volunteers interest for environment problems, their desire to work in an intercultural environment, the adaptability degree to a new working environment. Atfer finalizing the selection, the list of the selected volunteers will be posted on the web page of the host organization (www.atfpdr.eu).
The recruitment volunteers process will be transparent and opened and it is assured their access to the stages of the selection and the criterias used in the volunteers selection. Thus, through the web page of the host organization (www.atfpdr.eu), the volunteers will be able to watch the selection process and the used criterias in their selection. In the volunteers selection will be taken into account the gender balance, so that will be selected from each sending organization both girls and boys. The final group of the selected volunteers will include an egual number of girls and boys, so that is respected the principle of gender balance within the selected participant volunteers.
The EVS activity will be adapted taking into account the profile and the interests of volunteers in activities specific to rural development and specific to rroma minority. The EVS activity will not be substituted for a job because the volunteers will be willingly involved in the EVS activity and because their desire to contribute to the promotion of ecological education and environment protection in the local community. The volunteers will not be required to perform tasks not assigned by the project and will be guided in carring out all the project tasks by experimented staff. Within this EVS project are not required to the volunteers any specific competences.
Tarefas: will be done teams of volunteers, which will activate within schools from rroma communities
within those schools, the volunteers will create a centre where the children with few financial opportunities, children coming from single-parent families, can spend their free time, prepare the homeworks but also have artistic activities: drawing, music (in accordance with the abilities of the volunteers will learn to play different instruments), hand craft workshops
within the centres will create bands with the children who will learn play intruments and also singing and will organize different events/ contest with/ or them (contest between the bands from different communitinities
- seminars for informing the community from those villages/ cities on TiA program opportunities for young people
- foreign languages courses for the youth from those communities
the volunteers will help to preserve the local traditions: they will make a collection of local traditions, description of the traditional clothes , with photos
will organize, at county level, a festival of rural traditions
will promote the project at the local level: interviews in press, project launch seminar
project web page designing and its maintaining
create a blog: the agenda of the project- will be described the activities done by the volunteers, thus can be seen the project progress
writing and implementing TiA projects in the benefit of youth from those communities
the volunteers will teach the young people from those communities to access EU funds by implementing projects with European funding
cooperation with Village Museum: activities of promoting Village Museum; the volunteers will activate, by turns, as guides for the visitors and will supervise that the visitors maintain the order
- seminars about Romanian folkloric culture: traditions of holidays: Easter, Christmas, Dragobete. - - - seminar on the topic of discrimination
- acquisition of traditions, dances from rural areas and their transfer to youth from urban area
- organizing. Together with the members from the rural community, festivals caused by community's life events: for example picking up the grapes, mountain sheep departure.
Horário: the volunteers will spend 5 working hours, from Monday to Friday. Each volunteer will monthly receive 2 days off, up to his option, in accordance with an agreed timetable.
Volunteers will also have days off when are the legal national holidays in Romania (1st of December, 24th of January, 1st of May, 24th of June, 15th of August). They will benefit from vacation, upon the structure of the Romanian scholar year, as follow: 2 weeks in the period 20th of December - 5th of January, 1 week in the period 1st - 7th of February, 2 weeks Easter vacation and 2 weeks summer vacation. The volunteers` accommodation will be done in flats rented by FCASEC by contract, situated in the centre of Rm Valcea city.
Condições: Each apartment has 2 dorms, 1 living room,balcony, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom. Also, the flats are equipped with TV, Internet, washing machine, cooker, fridge and dishes. Each volunteer will receive the monthly allowance due under the approved project budget and a fixed allowance for buy the food. The volunteers will have all the condition for preparing the meals by themselves. During the implementation of EVS project, the transport will be assured by ATFPDR.
