Resumo: The Association focuses its work in youngsters in rural areas. Our objectives are:
1. To promote active citizenship among youngsters
2. To develop a critical attitude and awareness of socio-political issues
3. To support of youth initiatives
4. To instigate the education of Young Entrepreneurship for the future

Normally the association collaborates with different entities of the region: schools, town hall, other associations, local groups and public bodies, etc. On international level, we have been collaborating with other youth organizations of the following countries: Albania, Slovakia, Turkey, Haiti, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Denmark, Rumania, France and Austria. Right now the association forms part of the Spanish network of ex-European-volunteers and the project YP3OF. Since 3 years AJS is an hosting and sending organization for European volunteers.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: - Youth meetings (every week on Wednesdays)
- English classes to primary school children (every week)
- Meetings with the youth leaders (every week)
- Realization of the Solidarity Congress (February 2018)
- Solidarity Youth Festival (May 2018)
- Videoconferences with other participating countries from the project
- Assessment in the creation and maintenance of the project blog
- Preparation of European projects
- Preparation of all youth initiatives that may arise during the time of the EVS (debates, camps, flashmob, workshops, etc)
- Studying group with the youngsters (every week)
- Radio group (optional)
- English classes to the AJS staff
- Helping the Association with their activities in the Occupational Centre for Mentally disabled people (optional)
- English Café (every week)
- Carnaval group support
- Realizing your own (volunteer) initiative

The volunteers will participate in a running project of the network that has activities of several international organizations.
