Resumo: The host organization takes care of young people whose family or social difficulties require specialized help, whether there is accommodation for the young person or not.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The organization is a children's home where the volunteer will be asked to effect many and varied tasks - everyday ones like helping the children get washed and dressed, taking them to school, getting them organised when they come home, helping with homework, and so on. But the real value of having an extra person in the team is that this person can take the time to do special things like going to the cinema, watching the child in the school play, teaching them how to get around by bus, or how to make paper flowers. Just being there and spending some quality time with one or two children can make them feel special - no mean thing in the context of a children's home.
