Resumo: A not-for-profit social co-operative founded in 1981. Our main aims are planning and implementation of services in favour of children and youngsters, with particular attention to deviation, prevention and family counselling.

The values inspiring our social actions are peacemaking, co-operation, diversity seen as a resource, and the centrality of the person. Our activities address to more than 6.000 children, youngsters and their families, thanks to 80 workers, youth leaders and educators, pedagogues, psychologists, social assistants and employees.For some years we have also counted on the help of Civil servants, trainees and EVS volunteers.

Our core sector is the socio-educational field: Youth Centres, , protection of minors amdand family support, welfare work, school assistance and summer activities. We also deal with socio-cultural promotion, managing Youth information desks, European mobility. We have been supporting intercultural awareness and international mobility.

Apart from EVS in the last years we have organised and participated in several youth exchanges, Youth Initiatives, Youth Democracy projects, support measures and Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus training projects.

EVS volunteers will be involved in 3 centres related to the socio-educational sector (Youth Centre, Child care Day Centre and a Summer City Camp), which develop services according to two pedagogical guidelines:

1. youth promotion, considered as a condition for the emancipation of children and young people, activation of their resources and their entrepreneurship

2. disadvantage prevention, in response to the need of a strong commitment addressed not only to individuals, but also to families and the social context.

Perfil: Candidates should:

- Age 17-30

- Be flexible, extroverted and smart

- Have good familiarity with the activities

- Be open to work in team and able to command respect

- Good communication . We will also take into account the professionalism and accessibility shown by the sending organisation on the basis of the contextual presentation of volunteers or of past collaborations, as well as the support and training they ensure before departure to them.

Tarefas: The volunteers will support the coordinators with the activities of front-office, back-office, booking, receiving, garden and henhouse maintenance, rooms supervision and collaboration with the staff composed by users from Mental Healthy Department.

The activities are divided into the week from Monday to Friday, but sometimes are provided activities in the weekend and in this case the volunteer can rest in the days after the weekend.
