The project will take place in Romania, Baia Mare, Maramures region at
YMCA.
This project aims to promote cultural diversity by getting youngsters from
different countries together. Also, art and culture and by using
non-formal methods, young people of the local community will learn to
accept eachother, to get involved in the community, to learn about
responsibility and active citizenship. The target groups are roma
communities and children in hospital. This target group is very
vulnerable, so the main purpose is to help them feel better about
themselves and the world around them.
It is a long-term EVS, starting January 2012, for at least 6 months!!

Perfil: - juggling, puppets theater, swing poi is a plus!! - personal motivation -
previous experience - responsibility - commitment - willing to start your
EVS in January 2012, for at least 6 months, up to 11 months

Tarefas: - weekly visits for children in hospital - entertain them by using
different non-formal methods (animations, clowns, juggling, puppet show,
swing poi etc) - daily visits at a local day center for roma children
(play with them, help them do their homework, also by using non-formal
education methods - animation, juggling, dancing etc) - weekly visits at
an elementary school (after school programs) - coordinate workshops for
our local volunteers - help volunteers design posters for different events
- organizing street animation festivals (juggling, poi-poi, diablo, flower
stick, etc)
