Perfil: We're looking for a volunteer who is eager to develop in the area of working with children and youth. Creativity, passion, enthusiasm, ability to implement new ideas and having experience in working as a part of group are also important for the volunteer to have. What is more he/she has to be patient, friendly and empathic, but in the same time able to create the relation of authority and discipline in a group. Concerning the fact that the group of Polish and EVS volunteers will be responsible for creating of Multicultural Language Café planning and organizational skills and previous experience in cooperation in multicultural groups can also be useful.

Tarefas: Main activities proposed to the volunteers are connected with creating a place where children and youth can spend after-class-time in a creative way through developing their interests and cooperation in a group. The main activities run by the volunteers in a Multicultural Language Café will be
 creating and running workshops in the area of intercultural dialogue, tolerance and human rights
 animating free time of youth giving them a chance to experience the diversity of Europe.
 organizing activities like watching films, discussions, presentation, local cultural events such as: happenings, little performances, making movies, photography, exhibitions,
karaoke
It’s important that during the project the volunteer will cooperate with other EVS and Polish volunteers to create and run the activities.
Additional activities include language workshops (for groups and for individuals), promotion of participation in European programs with special emphases on Youth in Action program and some administrative and documenting work connected with realization of the project

Horário: The main tasks of the volunteer will be:

- organizing activities like watching films, discussions, presentation, local cultural events
Of course we are also open for your initiatives.
The main field of the activity:
- human rights workshops (workshops will lead in gymnasiums and high schools with assistance of polish volunteers. We will provide you support, means workshops for you, materials, tools, knowledge about methods, etc. but we also ask you to collect information and gain knowledge about this topic. You don’t must be professional, it will be enough if you will be aware )
- language classes ( each of you will teach your own language. The method which you choose is depend on you, but our experience telling that the best way is non-formal education. So… bring some materials to teach language, f.e. songs, quizzes, plays, games, books, cards, etc.)
- activity in kindergarten (you will work with children. The topic of the activity is completely depend on you. Please thinking what you are doing good and what you want to show your target group. F.e. previous volunteers was running classes from ecology, sport, music and theatre and art and painting) Of course everything in funny way and accessible for 4-6 years old kids.
- lessons about your country (it will be lessons in gymnasiums and high schools)
- family homes (orphanages) (in this place you will work with kids and teenagers and help them with English language. This is specific group, people with hard and complicating background)
- cultural evenings (each of you will have a chance to organize cultural evening to present tradition and customs of your country, cook sth., show the movie, make photo exhibition, or … everything what comes to you mind)
- help in the office, office work (one day per week; helping with daily routine duties )

Example:
Monday – human rights (2 hours per day)
Tuesday- kindergarten (3 hours per day)
Wensday- family homes (3 hours per day
Thursday- lessons about your country and language classes) , etc……
