Other requirements:
Basic language skills are an asset (Spanish or Catalonian).
A minimum training in the field of children's education (educators, social entertainers, animators, social integrators, pedagogues, students to be teachers,...) is an asset, so they can provide new experiences to the volunteers and professionals in the field of social education in our services.

Tarefas: he Service of Open Centres forms part of the municipal resources within its Action Plan, specifically for minors with less economic resources.
EVS volunteers will participate in one of the teams of social educators, in one of the centres, but they will have relation with the other ones, as the team is formed by all 4 centres working in coordination.
They will participate in the daily activities, without assuming the responsibilities of the team. They will carry out the following tasks:

Collaborate preparing the afternoon (tea, activities, games).
Collaborate attending the children during their stay in the centre (afternoons).
Collaborate with the management, planning and evaluation of activities.
Participate in the open activities of the city area and city.
Collaborate with the creation of diffusion activities in the city centres for its 25 years of service.
Participate in coordination work with departments and social education team, so they know all our centres.
Participate in the weekend leisure activities in which we participate (Carnival, neighbourhood feasts, folk feasts,...)
According to the activities carried out, the City Council will offer training and integration sessions to the team of social educators of the open centres.

Horário: From Monday to Friday, from 15 to 20 h. (direct attention to minors, from 17 to 19:30; rest of time: coordination and participation talks); and 1 Saturday (8 hours), every 2 months, always limiting participation to 25 hours.

Condições: Volunteers will be hosted in a shared flat, with 3 other European volunteers, in Manresa with basic facilities (heating, washing-machine, TV,...).

Regarding their activities out of working hours, volunteers will have the AXA insurance, information about the health services in Manresa and the mobile phone number of the mentor at the coordinating organisation, Consell Comarcal del Bages.
We will carry out a formal and informal monitoring of the EVS activity and daily life of volunteers, in order to avoid possible crisis situations.
The fact of sharing a flat in Manresa (location of the project) with other European volunteers allows to carry out a multiple monitoring: supervisor, mentor and flat-mates (the mentor talks to them regularly and tries to detect through them risk situations which he communicates to the host organisation, Open Centres).
