Resumo: The main focus of the project is planning and organizing the National Volunteering Week.
The National Volunteering Week (NVW) is a national event with tradition in Romania, as a consequence 2012 will represent the 11th edition. Our experience so far has shown us that the NVW gets bigger and more important for the community every year. Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Center is the coordinator organization for NVW in Cluj-Napoca and for example in 2009 we had 12 events in Cluj-Napoca (such as Organizations Fair, Cleaning Action, Recycling Workshops, Activities for children, Activities for Elderly, Volunteer Olympics) in 2011 we hat 12 events (such as Organizations Fair, Volunteer Parade, Constructing kennels for dogs, movie nights, etc)
In 2012 our plans are to make a visible and complex NVW, trying to raise the quality and the impact of the events.
Tarefas: taking part in the process of recruiting the volunteers (campaigns in the high-schools of Resita, presentations and meetings with youngsters, speaking about their personal volunteering story, etc) and the promotion of volunteering and of the European Voluntary Service
- support in the training and motivation process of the volunteers (trainings, presentations, local recognition of volunteering, teambuilding activities, etc)
- support in the counselling of the volunteers (reflection groups)
- support and participation in public events organised by the centre (seminars, conferences)
- support in the planning and organising of the current activities of the centre
- support in the networking activity of the Centre (on the national and international level)
- support in the management of the Centre's web-site (if the volunteer is interested in doing it, has the necessary competence and/or wants to develop it)
- administrative tasks (communication with the partners, preparing materials for trainings and meetings, etc)
- support in the management of Mansarda Youth Centre: activity planning, promotion, implementation and evaluation (work-shops, exhibitions, trainings, cultural activities, holidays, hobby clubs, the climbing wall, the Bike-Repair Shop)
- help the young beneficiaries of Mansarda in finding the information they need, answering their questions and helping them find information in the internet (the volunteer will start with this activity after an introduction period which will allow her/him to get acquainted with the information material, the way it is presented an with the research techniques)
- collecting information on a variety of youth related topics (for example Working Abroad, Travelling, Studying, Job finding) and help with presenting it in an attractive way for youngsters (on paper, on our Website, exhibitions in the centre).
- Researching an updating information material (info sheets and leaflets on various topics)
- support in the implementation of the project ideas of the local volunteers
We have foreseen equilibrium between the tasks of the volunteers as follows: 25% office tasks, 50% field work and activities involving the direct work with youngsters, and the 25% left can be divided between the two according to the interests and needs of the volunteer or allocated to the volunteers' personal initiatives and projects, and to self development activities.
