Resumo: The Youth Information Center began working as a local youth initiative in 2004, based on
the needs and interests of the local youth. Since then, this City Council has been working as a stable
local official public entity, with the mission of inspiring young people to take action, achieve their goals and act
according to their needs. The purpose of the organization is to support and empower youth groups, young people
and individuals to become active citizens of their communities, both locally and in Europe. The Youth Area of City Council is a local public entity that promotes initiatives, provides information and action tools. Our
main activities are based on intercultural learning through non-formal education, in order to promote the
participation of young people, in order to reduce racism and promote tolerance, respect and solidarity. Our other
objective is to promote knowledge of other European regions and cultures, through direct contact with other young
people.

Perfil: We would like a person who wants to do things and participate in a project for young people, sharing their
cultural perspective in the activities that we carry out. The volunteer will be chosen according to the criteria of
motivation, the willingness to work as a team, as well as the commitment and interest to work with young
people. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to get involved in cooperation and with open
minded people to share their experiences and ideas. We would like to welcome two young people who really
want to live as volunteers, learn from their experience and develop personal and professional skills. Young
people who feel committed to what it means to be volunteers and are willing to give their services in the best
way, with a positive attitude and, above all, with motivation and initiative to develop their own projects within the
activities of our organization.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: Volunteers will participate in different activities, here summarized:

CENTER OF YOUTH INFORMATION: Support in the various activities of dissemination of youth
information, youth care and issuance of the youth card, collaboration in carrying out recreational and creative
activities taking place in the center and collaboration in the development of a digital newsletter with news about
activities, calls, projects, youth programs for broadcast comes youth. Personal activities and volunteer projects
according to their interests and concerns will be supervised by the Youth Disclosing.

CORRALES YOUTH SPACE. Collaboration to inform youth about issues or matters of interest to them, support in
carrying out recreational and creative activities carried out in center, support in the distribution and dissemination of youth information in educations and centers meeting places of youth and personal activities and volunteer projects
according to their interests and concerns.

GUADALINFO CENTER. Support in daily activities carried out related to the ICT (courses,
workshops, personalized attention, free connections, etc.), support the dissemination of activities and services in
the center, support in administrative procedures (issuance of diplomas, copies of syllabi courses, updating
database users and would use the center).

YOUNTH EUROPE SERVICE. Collaboration in contact with other organizations and youth groups internationally
interested in cooperation with the City on initiatives youth mobility, participation in workshops and chat information
on volunteering, cooperation in youth European projects carried out in the municipality, support the creation of a
newsletter on the resources and opportunities that the European Union youth collaborative attention to youth
interested in participating in European mobility projects offers.

AREA CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION. Collaboration in the development of Urban Camp in summer, support the
activities under the "Child Friendly Cities" project of UNICEF.

CENTER SENIOR. Support the activities of revitalization of the Centre for the Elderly (creative
workshops, social bingos, ballroom dancing, etc.), support in achieving intergenerational activities between adults and youth in the municipality, collaboration in the accompaniment, conversation, reading books home of people with
disabilities in the municipality.
Volunteers will have a mentor for all these activities and will never be responsible for them.
