Resumo: The host organization is a community organization that has been taking care of emarginated (especially psycho-physically disabled) peoplesince the 1950s.

The host organization initiatives are aimed at underage and young people and adults alike, all lacking of a family nucleus or support withvarious types of handicap, in need of education and sociality. With this kind of initiatives, The organization aims to protect the dignityand human rights of weaker and emarginated members of society by supporting them in terms of satisfying their wellbeing needsand promoting their potential as citizens.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteers will be mostly inserted in the socialising and integration activities for the users, such as the social-recreational activities of the centre, and the participation to the initiatives promoted by the territory.

Besides, they are expected to work side by side with the staff members in some daily common activities (workshops, physical activity, external activities and special events, excursions…) Volunteer should have interest in social integration of disabled people, sensitivity towards their demands and needs. Previous experience in the field of disability would also give us an interesting opportunity for sharing best practices. Basic knowledge of Italian is needed.

Volunteers can live and work in a reasonably safe and protected environment. Both the Centre and the mini-apartments available are safe places in compliance with latest safety standards.
