Resumo: The communal youth center directs its offers to kids and juveniles of the age from twelve to eighteen years. The goal of our work based in the task of helping young people to develop different kinds of creative abilities to spend their free time and to encourage them to take part in educational programs beyond school. You will work together, with four social worker. Furthermore, two street workers are working in the office right next to ours. We offer a cafe for pupils as access to regular events and workshops in our house, in the range of art, sports, music and youth education and politics. Besides interesting recreational activities the target of our work consists in the development and realization of projects by the kids and juveniles themselves in order to learn how to fulfil their own ideas and interests. We consider this as a form of participation. Last but not least, we arrange specials offers during vacation like, music events, Soapbox Race and Holliday trips.

Perfil: The volunteer should like and enjoy working closely together with kids and juveniles. It would be advantageous, if she/he brings in her/his own hobbies and interests (like music, sports, games and arts). The volunteer should be a team-player and should have delight to hand down her/his experience to young people.

You will be constantly talking to teenager, so it is necessary for you to speak German already.

We would like to see the volunteer to help us to make contact with a youth center in his/her own country in order to set up an youth group exchange. We are happy to hear from you!
