Resumo: organization is a modern care center for elderly with physical or mental needs. a small village. We want to give a warm living environment to our 120 inhabitants. 90 of them are elderly with dementia and 30 have physical disabilities, who live in separate care units. We give professional and integral support, with dignity and with attention for the lifestyle of the inhabitants.

Perfil: Age 17-30

Tarefas: During the morning the volunteer is occupied with:

Guiding the elderly to their therapy appointments
Helping with and serving the coffee, fruit, bread,... This also means sharing time with the elderly.
At noon help during the meal

In the afternoon the focus lays on activities:

individual activities on demand of the elderly: a board game, going for a drink in the cafeteria, library visit, just talking with them (they really appreciate talking!)
group activities: cooking activities, going outside with the people,…
together with the coordinator the volunteer can create and organise group activities
the volunteer can work on his/her own idea for group activities or other activities
On a weekly basis the coordinator will have a meeting with the volunteer.

Horário: Starting between 8 am and 9 am and ending between 4.30 pm and 5 pm
