Resumo: "The CEJ includes the region of the Northern Barcelonés, that is, the municipalities of Sta. Coloma de Gramenet, St. Adrià del Besòs and Badalona. It is located in the city area of Fondo, between Sta. Coloma and Badalona, municipalities with a lower social and economic level than Barcelona and Catalonia. Its population is formed by immigrants from the rest of Spain, in the 70's, and from other countries in the 90's.

We have ample experience in the programme because we are specialised in international mobility. We have hosted volunteers within the project JUMP TO EUROPE and we have hosted several short-term EVS volunteers. We have also organised several youth exchanges and a seminar with our partners. As part of our tasks, we have counselled different entities when applying for YiA projects.

Our aim is that the volunteers collaborate in the following activities:
"" Promotion of the YiA programme among youth with less opportunities in our region.
"" Link the youth policies and experiences of Barcelonés and Europe.
"" Promote the YiA as a way to fight against social exclusion.
To manage so, and so that the actions have a multiplying effect, volunteers will also collaborate with diffusion and awareness campaigns of European programmes in English, in their language, as well as other proposals of youth and of concern for volunteers.
"

Perfil: "Volunteers: motivated to do international work, mobility projects and who like working with youth. No special qualifications are needed as there will be specific training. Youth with less opportunities are welcomed. The only requirement is interest in European mobility.
The project will be published in the EVS data base. A democratic access to the project is guaranteed through an objective recruitment. The recruitment will be done by two mentors of CEJ together with Nexes; the volunteers best adapting to the profile, with less previous experiences will be selected in order to ensure the multiplying effect of the EVS.

"

Tarefas: "One of the aims of CEJ is the promotion of European mobility and active youth participation. European volunteers will contribute with the diffusion of programmes, especially the EVS, being participants themselves, so it may be easier to motivate other youth to participate in this or other mobility programmes.

Volunteers may receive training in all our fields of activities. They can learn about our resources (YiA, Leonardo, LLP) and will know about grants, work abroad, work camps. They will also know about the territory, its characteristics and its youth structure.

They will progressively acquire responsibilities as part of a training process, but always with the supervision of the technicians of the centre.

Volunteers will support our tasks and activities, but may also suggest activities in the field of international mobility depending on their skills.
They will enrich the centre giving its work a European dimension. This is a very important role, as they may share their experience with other youth interested in participating in mobility projects.

They may participate in the following activities:
Diffusion of the resources of the CEJ:
-update of the web site Centre Europa Jove (courses, partners, experiences, news, activities...)
-collaboration in the edition of the monthly digital bulletin Europa Jove
-Update of the data base of organisations
-Collaboration in the elaboration of information material
-Gather mobility experiences in the territory (by means of interviews to organisations)

Activities of the CEJ:
- English workshop for youths participating in projects and users of the CEJ: the volunteer will help in carring out this workshop with the material available at the CEJ and with the help of the person in charge of the center who will facilitate the material, additional resources and the calendar and methodology to be used.
"" -Workshop of their mother language to users of the CEJ: this workshop is an activity that will help in the diffusion of the culture of origin of the volunteer and of his/her language. It is also a very gratifying activity and entails a direct contact with other young people. The workshop consists in an hour per week of conversation, on a very basic level
"" Collaboration in workshops in secondary schools and other educational training activities.·
"" Give information, directly, by telephone or e-mail to young people.
"" Support with the elaboration of photographic exhibitions about international activities.
"" Support in other activities and mobility projects.
