Resumo: The host organization is open for everyone in need Daily we take care for more than 100 children and young people from social risk families in our 3 children day care centers. Also we work with large families in the region. Our priority group - children and young people, as we see big value in helping them to mature in healthy and supporting environment, because when they become adults, they do not need social services (or need less help from society).

Volunteer will work in one of day care centers in the town. The centre is attended 30 children every day. The most intensive acrivities take place during holidays in all seasons. In the centre we have kichen and didning room, computer class, playing room and space for meeetings and homeworks. Children spend 4-5 hours in the centre per day – they make meals together, do homeworks, play inside and outside, organize traditional events, communicate with specialists(social teachers, workers, psycologists). In the camps during school holidays children spend 8-10 hours at the centre or leave the town for 5 days. In the camps children play, do sports and crafts, meet variuos famous people.

These children do not have possibilities to travel in Lithuania or abroad, so volunteer is expected to help findinding out about another country and culture, develop foreign language skills and get motivation to learn tolerance, cooperation. Along with this the voluntter will have space to develop professional and personal competencies.
