Resumo: These projects want to promote the place of the child and to follow him when he is in difficulties. Children and adolescents in situations of physical or mental disability, danger or at risk of being, affected or facing integration problems are at the heart of the project. For adults with disabilities, or those with integration problems, the project promotes the international convention on the rights of disabled people.

Our project offers young Europeans interested, the opportunity to intervene with them. It aims to give to the volunteer opportunities through discovery and learning social skills, professional and cultural while raising awareness with which they are involved in cultural, linguistic and European mobility.
Our activities are around 3 themes, inserting, disability and exclusion:
- Living areas and support of young people in great difficulty (single minor or irregular);
- Associations of children, adolescents and adults with multiple disabilities;
- Associations fighting against social exclusion.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The Association runs specialized foster homes and offers its facilities and services to children and adults with different kinds of motor disabilities, which might be associated with mental or sensory deficiencies, which inhibit them to be totally autonomous.

IMPORTANT: This is a project concerning people with multiple disabilities, severe disabilities in the multiple expressions with motor impairment and mental retardation, resulting in a restriction of autonomy and possibilities of perception, expression and relationship. The volunteer wanting to get involved in this project must be aware of the complexity of the intervention from this public.

The tasks of the volunteer can be divided into 4 groups in which the volunteer will carry out her service being part of a multi-disciplinary team of social workers, who face individual and social activities of handicapped people, and the activities, which are essential in everyday life.
Volunteer’s activities will be adapted to her desires, skills, abilities and knowledge.
- Organisation of everyday life :
• Helping the users to wake up, go to bed, during the meals.
• Helping the resident during different activities at the Center, like games, painting, music,…
• Acompanying the users in their free-time activities, like reading, TV, computer, internet, …
• Acompaniment of the users in their everyday activities (short walks within the center, helping the users to reach certain objects, which are placed on higher shelves, etc.)

- Active participation in the activities :
• Accompaniment to the residents in their daily trips to Limoges (often to go shopping).
• Accompaniment to the residents during their freetime activities outside of the center.
• Accompaniment to the residents in cultural activities, events, summer camps.....
- Active participation in the meetings:
• Volunteer will take part regular meetings with the team of educators (case studies, planning of the activities)
- Proposals and creativity:
• Volunteers might propose to organize a project of events aiming at bringing the culture and the European information to the residents of Handas who do not have easy access to it due to their disability.
This project aims at organizing an event for the residents on the topics express above.
The host organization will be open to all proposals made by the volunteers, baring in mind the limitations and interests of the residents.
