Resumo: The Centre is a local government operated teacher development facility, an institution providing knowledge and education, whose work is perfectly reflected by the motto “the City of Education”.
Perfil: We are open to any volunteer. We expect the volunteers to be highly motivated, creative, responsible, communicative and inspired to live, take part in our activities during their EVS period in our organization.
Age: 17-30
Tarefas: Volunteers will work in Young Learners Resource Center. The main activities will be:
- common librarian activities (lending books, conducting an inventory, contacting readers, promoting)
- teaching volunteers' mother tongue
- writing a blog to describe the volunteer's experience.
- organising discussion clubs for English teachers
We are open to any volunteers' initiative and will welcome their ideas (for instance organising meetings for students/teachers connected with one's hobby). We can definitely minimize the time of managing YLRC, if volunteers would like to focus more on other initiatives. We offer volunteers to broaden their skills in teaching, organising events, knowledge about didactics and pedagogy as well as improving their linguistic skills. We will also help volunteers develop their soft competences such as creativity communication skills.
Volunteers will have a set of regular tasks connected with managing the library. However, we will welcome any initiative in order for them to fulfill their aspirations. As we cooperate with different institutions (not only educational but also NGOs) we will try to help volunteers undertake their ideas
