Resumo: The Centre is an umbrella organization for more than 600 NGOs in the region with 3 regional offices. Main tasks are to support NGOs by providing consultations, information, organizing educational events, creating strategic documents, promoting co-operation between NGOs, state institutions and social business structures, also, developing voluntary activities and promoting non-formal education in local society, especially targeting youth NGOs and youth. Main target groups of organization are NGOs & young people.

Since 2002, when first European Voluntary Service project was carried out, the Centre has expanded cooperation networks and has been sending organization for more than 60 and host organization for more than 70 young people. Also, 9 youth training projects, 7 youth exchanges, 2 youth democracy projects and 2 local youth initiatives was organized.
Our partners for EVS hosting projects are local municipalities, youth centres across the region, youth NGOs.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas:
volunteers will take part in the Centre daily activities, which include visits in local schools and universities to inform young people about non-formal education and Erasmus+ EVS program, assisting the Centre employees and its partner organizations to organize projects, local initiatives and other events (intercultural events, everyday work at the youth centres and organizing volunteers’ own initiatives). Also, volunteers will participate in trainings about NGOs structure, management, coordination and project management. The main objective of the project is to provide volunteers with knowledge and skills that are essential in NGO management and project writing.
In order to integrate into local society volunteers will participate in intensive Latvian language courses & project development courses
