Resumo: "The objective is to accomodate mental handicapped people within an educational framework structuring and opening out by taking account of the individual problems of lived of the person in partnership with the family and the whole of the social workers. We also make a point of allowing to the person an optimum development with all the levels: autonomy, emotional, physical, psychological .The project aims primarily:
- to answer at the request of young European volunteers eager to engage with the service of the others and in particular mental handicapped people,
- to take part thus in a teaching project through activities of animation and daily contacts,
- with living a human experiment within the framework of an institution integrating the social, psychological and medical aspects of the assumption of responsibility of mental handicapped people,
- to be able to contribute their share suitable for the project in particular in the field of animation to exchange their experiment with the personnel and the voluntary buildings and thus to bring one ""more"" to Foyer. In no case, the participation of these volunteers the volunteer will be in charge of the activities reserved for the nursing personnel male or caregiver. The tasks of the volunteers are mainly focused on the ""relational one"" through: - activities of animation (representing more than 60% of the time of the volunteers) such as: parlour games, painting, gardening, small animal breeding, craft activities... - support of the persons for the meals, the walks... the activity of the volunteers can thus contribute a significant share in the achievement of the objectives of the teaching staff by the development of initiatives based on a personal experiment and/or a different culture, arouse curiosity and interest of members of the personnel, teachers and handicapped residents by proposing ideas and a manner of working different
Péruwelz a city in the countryside...... City, bus on its territory, the presence of many socio-economic activities of production, transformation with the many trade and services to all natures, testify of the dynamism of the city. Countryside on the other hand thanks to the half-crown of its 8 villages which surround it of which the rural authenticity is preserved. Perulwez is a Walloon city located in the province of Hainaut. The city includes in fact 11 entities: Baugnies, Bon Secours, Braffe, Brasménil, Bury, Callenelle, Péruwelz, Roucourt, Wasmes-Audemez-Briffoeil, Wiers. It extends on a surface from 6.055 ha and has a population of 17.278 Inhabitants (Density: 285 Hab/km2). The city is located at the Northern border of France, at 19 km of Tournai, 29 km of Mons, 70 km of Charleroi, 94 km of Brussels, 166 km of Liege, 200 km of Paris or Luxembourg. The motorway E 42 make it possible to reach the national and European motorways and the 3 principal airports of Belgium. The channel Nimy - Blaton - Péronnes offers an access to the European harbours. Tournai is the nearest city and is located at the French border and has a considerable network of schools. Many cultural activities are organized there throughout the year. A busline connects the various entities between them and to the city of Tournai.

Perfil: His interest in social purpose mission, centered on the disabled person
Tarefas: "The general mission consists in accompanying a group of about 20 mentally handicapped person in the tasks of the everyday life. The activities organized with our residents can proceed outside, sport activities, swimming pool, horsemanship, days ""inter-institutions"" organized by the General Federation of adapted sports... During these moments, the contacts with the local community are rich and various. The day of the volunteer is centered around the two activity periods carried out with the residents.
The activity of the morning proceeds between 10h and 11h45 and that of the afternoon of 14 with 15h30. Its role is to take part in the various activities and animations with the teachers. It could of course bring its own ideas of animation. And outside of these periods, it accompanies the handicapped people during meal, hygiene cares and other tasks of their daily life.
The tasks are foreseen between 8h and 16h, with a maximum of 6 Hr by day.
The working week lasts 5 days.
The volunteers can take part in the service on Sunday and on the public holidays.
The recovery days are then envisaged during the week.
Two weeks of leave are envisaged per period of 6 months.

Ò Day in La Louvière to accompany our residents to the Netball championship (organized by the General Federation of Adapted sports).

Exemple of a volunteer’s day
9h30: Organization of the activity/workshop
10h00: Animation of an activity/workshop without or with another éducator.

The volunteers take part in the meetings or debriefings and preparation of the animation programs weekly envisaged. A team meeting is organized one Friday on two.
A two weeks period is reserved for the integration of the volunteers:
- in the Belgian medium of life (in charge of the coordinating organization: BSC Namur asbl)
- in the medium of the association ""Les Charmilles""
One intensive period of training can be envisaged according to the level of knowledge of French (only when the service period starts on September) and can be followed by regular weekly courses. The program of the service will be adapted consequently.

Condições: "The volunteer will be housed in a studio located in Bon Secours, located a few km from Wiers, she will have one bedroom, a kitchenette and a sitting room she shared with another volunteer.
Meals: Mozet is open all the year and has a restaurant where the volunteer will share his meals with staff and groups, or an allowance will be given for food purchases.
Housing: The volunteer will be housed either in a room of an apartment in the Domaine Mozet or in pedagogy hosting youth in Namur.
The Belgian Service Club Namur, coordinating organization, in coordination with the Domaine of Mozet, shall take measures to ensure that the volunteer receives, throughout his stay, language training according to their needs, either within a competent school or by a teacher enrolled by the coordinating organization.
The supervisor is appointed by BSC Namur and is in charge for regular contact with volunteers and with the tutor responsible in Mozet."
