Resumo: "The park of Bystrzyca Klodzka and parks in villages around Bystrzyca Klodzka used to be places where people went to be relaxed and enjoy their free time. It was a common meeting place for the old and young, and truly an important part of this beautiful medieval town. Unfortunately, for a long time, no one has looked after it and as a result, it was devastated and grew wild. Of course it will once again be open for everyone, children, families and the elderly. They will be able to have safe and peaceful places to relax and experience parts of the traditional life in the region.

Urzad Miasta i Gminy and Europejskie Forum Mlodziezy's office are located in a small town called Bystrzyca Klodzka. The town has around 10,000 inhabitants and is situated in the southern part of the Ziemia Klodzka region in Poland. The town has a very picturesque and scenic view having a history stretching back to the Middle Ages. The town's future economy will depend significantly on the developement of tourism and its traditions.
Ziemia Klodzka is a region in the south-western part of Poland, in the Lower Silesia Region, located by the Sudety Mountains. The region's western, southern, and eastern borders are with the Czech Republic. Incorporating the town of Bystrzyca Klodzka, the Klodzko district amounts to an area of 1,643 km2, with 182000 inhabitants. The district is functionally and physiographically different from the rest of the Lower-Silesian Province, being surrounded by mountain ranges forming a natural barrier separating it from from the rest of the country.
The relatively small area boasts an exceptionally large number of treasures. It contains the largest number and variety of renowned health resorts, the rock labyrinths of the Stolowe (Table) Mountains, the wilderness of the Bystrzyckie and the Bialskie Mountains, a number of famous sanctuaries, charming and quaint little towns situated in mountain dales, mountain strongholds, castle ruins, churches and caves. Given the traditions and stories of the region, you can begin to notice the diverse and interconnected cultural history here throughout the ages.
The region contains a unique scenery, climate and cultural values together with rich deposits of mineral waters, and a considerable tourism potential (e.g. with recreation and spa facilities already existing). To this end, the five health resorts in Klodzko can receive over 12000 people at once. Essential for supporting this area are varios catering facilities apparently capable of supplying over 20 thousand people.
The biggest problem in Klodzko as is also in Ziemia Klodzka is high and increasing unemployment, which currently stands at around 31 %. This results in many economical and social concerns (e.g. lack of cultural life and youth facilities, lack of public transportation, lack of eco-tourist facilities, etc.). There is a lack of youth facilities, resulting in limited options for young people with regard to spending their leisure time. This lack of creativity increases the need for more cultural and sports activities. There are many groups of young people and European Youth Clubs is in the region, containing groups with interests in theatre, music, dancing, and sports. However, it is critical that they have adequate support and options to further develop their interests, particularly on an international level.
Similar future projects and an extension of the European theme are vital to allow the local community and the Ziemia Klodzka region to continue to balance and improve its social and economic infrastructure.
"

Perfil: "Within our project, we would like to give socially, familiarly or economically disadvantaged youngsters between 18-30 a chance to widen their views and broaden their horizon.
We would also very much appreciate youngsters with mental and physical disabilities (e.g. epilepsy, people with limited movement or asthma) to join our project, to learn new skills and develop themselves.
The volunteers should have a genuine interest towards nature and a will to work in a group. They should also be ready to work in a beautiful and remote rural area as well as willing to work and live in a team. The volunteer should be able to do physical work, but most importantly we are hoping to host motivated young people with positive attitude. Furthermore, the volunteers should be eager to learn new things and deepen their skills.
Young people with fewer opportunities will be very suitable for this project as the knowledge they will gain about nature and the environment will be valuable should they wish to develop a career in the area of agriculture. The experience for young people with less opportunities will also be very good as they will be able to develop their own ideas and create an area which, when completed, will leave a huge sense of self achievement and will potentially motivate the young person to develop their own imaginations and increase their confidence to take part in more activities and this is when the results will be able to be measured.

"

The task of volunteer will contain 50% practical work, 20 % preparation work and 30% of individual support (language course, technical support, intercultural learning, etc.).
Teambuilding will be the key word during the first week, but since team building is nothing more than training a group of individuals, personal developments, building up self esteem, creating an individual strength-weakness analysis will be the personal result of this teambuilding. Volunteer's tasks in the park will depend on the weather. Most of the time, the volunteers will work in a group.

The structure of the timetable is to give the volunteer the chance to practise their time keeping skills and reliability should they have a job in the same kind of field. The host organisation, however, is open to discuss the timetable with the volunteers to create a better working relationship and to make sure that the volunteer will have the best possible experience during their time here and that the quality of the project will be of a high standard.
