Resumo: "The project will take place in one of Krakow's kindergartens and is connected with work with children - Cracow is a city in the southern Poland, with about 1 million inhabitants. City is always full of students and young people because we have Universities and Academics, including the oldest, and the most famous in Poland, The JagiellonianUniversity.
Cracow is also called cultural capital of Poland, as there are plenty of cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, lot of monuments and sign of national heritage etc. In Cracow tradition is mixed with innovation on each step. Thanks to this incredible accumulation of wealth of culture this city was placed on the list of 13 polish objects in the World List UNESCO. Taking advantage of its unique geographical location, Cracow wants to be a place in which different cultures and nations met. Cracow was always known for its openness and friendly climate for its visitors. Also, Cracow is excellent place for meeting new people, for having fun, spending time actively. We have B³onia which are some kind of big park in the city centre where people riding a bike, going for a walk with children or with dogs etc. We have beautiful Old Town with Rynek and antique district Kazimierz related to Jewish culture. Those plays are full of history, and places worth too see, full of many kinds of cinemas, theatres, disco, cafes etc. as well. Our kindergarten is also situated in historical district called Bronowice. It has connection with one of the greatest polish writer Stanis³aw Wyspia´nski. His most important writing “Wesele” (“The Wedding”) is based on true story and people and is happening in Bronowice. It was in 1900 but till our days we have in Bronowice that house in which the wedding was happening. Nowadays it calls “Rydlowka” and it’s museum. Bronowice has also some traditions connected with “chocho³y” which were the mysterious figures from “The Wedding”. In Bronowice we have also museum called “Tetmajerówka” which is an old house of polish graphic and painter W³odzimierz Tetmajer who was half-brother of great polish poet Kazimierz Przerwa - Tetmajer."

Perfil: "Because we are an educational institution we look for person with a positive attitude, kindness and those who are interested
in work with children. The volunteer should also be easy-going, open and friendly. It would be desirable that the volunteer has
give some musical, theatre/actor or art abilities, but it is not necessary. Also it would be nice to have person who like to work
in group and cooperate with the rest of the staff. But the most important thing is to be responsible and conscious that working
with children have influence on their mental development, and maybe the work can be difficult, but mostly it brings a lot of joy and satisfaction.
Volunteers applied for project to coordinating organization via the online base of hosting project. Volunteers going to Partner
Countries found the hosting organization by themselves or with help and previous experience of STRIM Association.
Sending Organizations were coordinating the first type of selection. Final selection was made by hosting Organization, with
cooperation with Coordinating Organization (STRIM). This final selection was based on more detailed research and matching
particular volunteers with their motivation for this particular project. It was important to chose volunteers with different skills, so that they can create individual projects on different fields"

Tarefas: "As an organization which works with children we can offer to volunteers opportunity to know that specific kind of job with all
the problems and of course all the best sides. We also give him/her chance to feel how to be a teacher. He/She’ll get the new
experiences which shows him/her how hard but also satisfy is working with those small people. For volunteers who will be in
our kindergarten and our city is the easiest way to get to know our language, culture, history, traditions.
We want to give children a lot of contact with different cultures. We believe that by international volunteers we can provide them a lot o knowledge about other countries. We also hope that maybe our teachers, by contact with volunteers may have a lot of new experiences. He/she will be able to see how work in the kindergarten looks like, what is the methods and goals in children education. Such exchange of experience might be helpful on both sides.
Generally the main activities for our volunteers will be to promote his country and culture, and also help teachers in a everyday activities. Volunteers can show our children and also the teachers and parents his culture and history of his country by making board bulletin, prepare articles for our paper “The echo of our kindergarten” and have an influence on our web-page. He can also organised games, plays, singing song and telling traditional stories to children. We give opportunities to present all information about his country, culture and language for example we want to organised Volunteers Day, and also one day in each month with knowing his language; one day in month with traditional kitchen.
Another important thing is that volunteer can take part in all varied annual or occasional events. We trying to have good contact both parents and local community, so very often we are organisedmeetings, picnics, festivals, competitions, trips etc. Of course the volunteer will be able to participate in those activities.
About more casual activities, we want the volunteer to share in most our meetings, help (both teachers and children) in daily activities, engage in competition etc. Before it, it’ll be necessary to know better the director, teachers, staff and whole
organization – during the first period we will try to present as much as possible."
