Resumo: The school has a very attractive location being virtually in the countryside. The village is situated between the hills, the forest, the river and the good public transport connection to the city of Vienna make it a very interesting place both in terms of cultural activity and leisure. The village has a tradition in producing wine but nowadays the majority of the working population commutes on a daily basis.
Most of Families live in or near the village, so the volunteers can be embadded in a social network, if they want. Usually the volunteers prefere to be more end more independent. The closeness to Vienna offers manifold options for young people.

Perfil: The mother tongue of the volunteer shouldn’t be German, he/she should be interested in working with children and juveniles, (experiences in this field can be useful, but are not necessary); he/she should take pleasure in sports and outdoor activities, also drama groups, music and games. In particular he/she should be willing to get involved with children. The volunteer should be interested in alternative education.

As hosting organisation we are well-positioned with our specific profile in the EVS-network. You can find our project in the European database and we wrote to some sending organisations that we were in contact with during the last years.
For the recruiting process some criterias have been established. The most important is the interest in working with children, various capabilities,

Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The pedagogic concept encourage the self-development of pupils and volunteers. Social learning is an important module of the concept. To work in this ambience is a great experience for the volunteers. They have a lot of opportunities to learn by activities at school: sports, music, dance, german language. The volunteers can attend history projects or cultural projects, if they are interested.

Further opportunities to learn are the attendance on excursions with the school (one week in the countryside, sometimes one week in winter for skiing), sometimes short trips. After the on-arrival training, volunteers meet usually other volunteers for common activities.

The volunteer will participate in a German course at the University.This intensive language course takes place 2 or 3 times a week in the evening, organised in trimesters. Volunteers attend German courses and practice the language with parents of pupils and other people.

The self-development and independence of the volunteers grow in the course of the project. They got help if they need, but they are responsible for their everyday life
