Resumo: The office is situated in western part of Latvia, in one of the largest town in Latvia. Historically our town had a very mixed population-latvians, russians, lithuanians and some other minority groups. There are a lot of people who belongs to so called "risk group"-disatvantaged children from Orphanage, poor families, children with disabilities. The city also has one of the largest blind people communities in Latvia. People are very friendly and welcoming against other cultures. City itself consist of some regions. As example-former Soviet army secret base-Naval Port. During the first years of independence all the poorest people were send to live here. But in the same time, this is one of the most active region. Youth and childrens from mixed nationalities live here together and very eager to take part in any activities organized by locals or foreigners.
We have 2 main activities centres.

Our office is situated in one of the bigest and most inhabitated areas in the city. There are block houses around and very good public transport connection with the central part of town. The sea is a 3 min walk from our office and the surroundings is very green. So this is a perfect place for outdoor activities. A 5 min walk from the office is an old fortification system, with small knolls, forest etc.

Our second activity centre-Karosta is located in rural part of the city. There is a wonderful nature and big park in the front of the centre. We plan to renovate this place for every person can find something for himself. There will be another brunch of our office, space for activities, even a small gym for physical activities. We have space for 2 small rooms where volunteers can live in comfort. Also we will have kitchen, where we plan to provide local poor children with some food. Karosta itself is very wonderful and green place. Seaside is 10 min walk, surrounded by forests-ideal place for grow-up.

The city is non-official free-minded people town of Latvia. From here come varoius musicians, artists, painters, sportists. The town offers a wide range of cultural and social activities. Films are shown in many languages in the cinema, many diverse events take place and many opportunities for doing different sports are given. Various styles of pubs, clubs and restaurants are open to a wide spectrum of people. This gives any young person the possibility to choose between the activities he/she likes and to meet nice people.
The volunteers will share their time with the group of children and youth in the organization and children and youth from different part of the city.

Perfil: The volunteer candidates should be aged between 18 and 30 with some computer skills, basic English and ideally an elementary knowledge of non-formal education. Enthusiasm and interest in inclusion, education and the European project are more important than qualifications. The volunteer should be open-minded, interested and ready to work in an international environment. We will always discuss the project at length with the volunteer to ensure that if the funding is granted the project will be a positive experience for all parties, clarifying details about the role and the aims of the project through writing the application together. We will also leave space for the volunteer to input into the project and shape it more to their interests during the volunteer period.

Selection and Transparency
Vacant EVS placement notices are circulated amongst the member organisations and our partners. Details of the placements are also published on the YiA website, opening the door to new working partnerships. We request CVs and motivation letters from interested young people, emphasising that our priority is not qualification or experience but motivation in the project. We aim to find a volunteer eager to develop them and contribute to the project. On the basis of the CVs and motivation letters we make a shortlist of three candidates and arranged telephone interviews. On the basis of these meetings we will chose volunteers. The process is transparent and open. We will inform the volunteers of the process and keep in contact with them regarding progress.

Involvement of young people with fewer opportunities
We will pro-actively seek to host volunteers with fewer opportunities. As the next stage of our All Together project, we are working with disadvantaged young people who have been reached by local groups through inclusion activities. We aim to develop All Together, moving to the next level by involving them in the development of further European projects, ensuring they have a role not only in the local organisation but also as an essential part of the international organisation. In order to increase sustainable inclusion, we believe that young people with fewer opportunities need to feel ownership of the organisation and be active at all levels. We will be seeking applications from these young people as volunteers. Our office is accessible to young people with disabilities and we believe that the combination of direct work with children and running educational activities at international level will appeal to a wide range of potential volunteers.

Tarefas: - work in our youth centre, which is quit small to promote it. Mostly we are promote EVS in schools, organizing free time activities, such as outdoors, movie evenings, country presentations, language courses etc in our office.

Also part of work will be in kindergardens with 5 years old kids, to attract them to come in our oreganization. Work isnt hard, and we also guarantee a lot of leisure time activities.
