Resumo: The host organization is a residence for the elderly
The organization has always believed voluntary work to play an important role in “diaconal” outreach, in Christian help and in loving our neighbour; it has also always strongly believed in the international aspect of this volunteering. By becoming involved in a “diaconal” – that is, social – project, persons of different nationalities can overcome cultural or faith barriers, and prejudices fed by ignorance.
The organization, in a layman and open perspective, bases decisions and actions upon Scripture, which reminds us of the essential dignity of human beings. In particular, the organization strives, through its actions, to bring relief in situations of physical, psychological and moral suffering, welcoming and accompanying those who find themselfes in a state of need. At a national level, the organisation is active in various fields: residential structures and diurnal centres for seniors and disabled people; services for minors and youngsters coming from difficult backgrounds; projects for forced migrants; social and intercultural tourism.
