Resumo: The proposed project has two major themes: European awareness and Children the following objectives:
Providing learning opportunities as well as practical life experience for acknowledging the key European values, for a total of eighteen EVS volunteers, eight youth for long term, respectively ten youth for the short term as well as 150 young volunteers, through activities with children and youth, within their twelve months of service, respectively two months of service.

Promoting active involvement of 1500 young people in the life of their community through awareness campaigns, volunteering and non-formal education activities for children and youth, with the support of our eighteen EVS volunteers, for twelve months.

Promoting young people's involvement in a more inclusive growth, through volunteering and non-formal educational activities, that will support 150 youngsters with unemployment risk, to become more mobile and adopt a pro-active behaviour in society.

Promoting healthy life styles for 500 children and youth, within at least 7 rural and urban communities, through grassroots sports and outdoor activities.

Perfil: the volunteers hosted in our projects are desired to be passionate about learning and education, love working with children and youth, and show an open minded attitude towards different cultures. Also, we wish they are flexible with the activities they take part in and willing to integrate in their host community and socialize with other youth, as they will work in an international environment and part of a multinational team. There will be no special requirements apart from being positive, energetic, outgoing, communicative, and at least a basic level of English as they will be serving as part of an international team, and some linguistic common ground is desirable. The portrait of the volunteer mentioned above might be helpful for orientation, however it is not a strict requirement.

Tarefas: The host organization has successfully managed to establish a solid partnership with six other promoters that will act as Sending organizations, to make sure that service is complying with all the qualitative criteria of the EVS Charter. All aspects regarding the project have been thoroughly discussed between partners, and clear tasks and responsibilities have been agreed upon, covering actions for all phases of this project. The service activities will be carried out according with a learning plan for each of the volunteers and will put special emphasis on non-formal learning, European awareness and interculturality. There will be a ‘win – win’ situation coming from the interactions between the EVS volunteers and the community, as all parties will benefit from each other’s experience and expand their horizons through interactions in a wider multicultural and European context.

The EVS volunteers’ main role will be to assist, before the lunch break, in educational activities with kindergarten children. The EVS volunteers will be actively involved in the “EDUTAINMENT“ Programme, defined as the act of learning through a medium that both educates and entertains, consisting in assisting the classroom teachers and taking part in curricular activities, Monday to Friday, before lunch.
In the afternoon, they will assist, lead and take active part in the “EVERY CHILD MATTERS” Programme, residing in the use of game mechanics and game design techniques in non-game contexts-education.For school children within the following programmmes:
AfterSchool English programme assist the primary school teacher in educational activities meant to teach English using a non-formal approach and methods such as games, songs, dance, drama and puppet theatre.
Clubs programme (Discovery, Numberland, In the Spotlight, Read and Lead, Arts) – assist the primary school teacher in educational activities in the field of science, reading, arts and sports
Rural area schools in Metropolitian area:
“Gate to Languages” (25th September) – event to promote in the community the ‘European Day of Languages’.
“Halloween” (30th October) - Halloween party, costume making and best home-made costume contest, pumpkin carving contest etc. They will aslo assist in and coordinate indoor and outdoor activities and non-formal educational programmes for children and youth, some of them coming from suggestions received during the preparation of the project application from them, such as:
“Multicultural Transylvania” (November 13th) – activities to explore and promote the multiculturalism of our region
“International Education Week” (November 16th – 21st) – presenting different types of education in Europe, debates, comparative approach
“Treasure Diversity” (December 7th) – activities to express and promote European diversity
“Christmas Fair” (December) - Christmas choir traditional Romanian carols and in various other languages.
“Winter Festival” - two days of activities in January. One day will be dedicated to outdoor winter games like snow ball fights, build a funny snowman, races. After playing outdoors, the children will be involved in an hour of story telling. The second day can be dedicated to arts and crafts and making sweets.
“LOVE ”& “Good Manners“ (February) - high school students will develop their skills and have a positive impact on their community
“Spring Fantasia” (March) - a minifeast involving all the volunteers they could make Mother`s Day cards and booklets together with the children. To celebrate the international feeling of mother-child bond
“Drugs Change Everything” (March 14th – 18th) – anti drugs campaign
“Easter” – (March 27th – May 1st) outdoor Easter Egg Hunt. All EVS volunteers could be involved in this activity.
“Plant for the Planet” (April 22nd) – To promote non-formal education and an eco friendly behaviour through volunteering “Earth Day” (April) - a minicourse regarding Planet Earth. Each volunteer will hold a short workshop. The volunteers can work individually or in pairs with one of them being the course leader and the other the course assistant.
“Europe Day” & Let’s Put a Face to Europe (May 9th) - Dance and music festival with traditional music and dances from different EU countries, our volunteers are welcome to suggest other multicultural activities for the children.
“Kids Day” (June 1st) - a fun filled day with activities that involve various games.
“Children’s Rights” (June 6th ) - To encourage the potential of children with disabilities or that are autistic
“International Playground” (June 10th ) - to encourage children of all types to reach their best and communicate with others
“ Design YourSellf ”, for eight weeks, between June 20st – August 19th 2016, our 8 EVS volunteers from the long term service, will design and run activities for youth. Topics and activities will be chosen according with the age and interest of the participants (12 – 25).
Secondary school and college youth 20 youngsters/week + GLOW/TOBE
Each week will have a topic and each day will have activities connected with the specific theme, for instance see below the planner.
