Resumo: "A volunteer placement in a busy cultural centre actively involved in cultural life of the community.
The project will take place in Trencin located in the western part of Slovakia, approximately 126 km from the capital Bratislava and 205 km from Vienna/Austria. Trencin, a town of 80 000 inhabitants, lies in the valley of the river Vah, surrounded by the mountain ranges Povazsky Inovec and Strazovske vrchy.
Thanks to its location, Trencin has always been an important commercial, cultural and sport centre of the region. Dubbed 'the city of fashion' ,it has enjoyed a long lasting tradition of exhibitions and festivals. Annually it hosts the biggest art festival in Slovakia - Pohoda Festival and an internationally recognised film festival - Art Film.
The town and its surroundings also offer various opportunities for free-time activities. Many cycle-trials, hiking routes and recreational areas are ready for anyone keen on having a weekend break in the countryside. "

The volunteers will be involved in working with children, adults and people with special needs in different environments, under the guidance of different teachers and instructors, whom they will be assisting in preparation and running classes. What is more, apart from Slovak and English classes, all volunteers will have access to all available courses as a students, so everyday they will have a chance to learn new things in various fields.

Seasonal activities and special events
