Resumo: The main objective of the project is to provide volunteers and target group beneficiaries with opportunities for personal and professional development, building shared knowledge, learning to learn competences and behaviors on intercultural, European citizenship in an educational context.
Perfil: Volunteers must have a genuine interest in cultural work, working with young people and children. This will be main selection criteria. The candidates must also be: active, creative, innovative, open-minded, responsible, and motivated to do social work.
Age: 17-30
Tarefas: The volunteers of the Project will be directly involved in the planning, organization and implementation of non-formal cultural educational activities in cultural institutions in the city, activities directed towards the achievements of the project objectives.
1st Stage: Preparation, adaptation and training
During this part the volunteers will get involved in the following phases:
- get to better know each other, the project and objectives, the hosting organization, get to explore the city and country;
- get to better know and understand the institutions where they will work;
- take part in an induction training;
- start learning romanian with classes provided by hosting organization.
2nd Stage: Intergenerational activities and raising cultural awareness
After the volunteers have passed the initial stage of accommodating to the new environment and they have passed the initial training, the volunteers will focus on the following:
- the main objectives of the project are: to share and promote multi-cultural knowledge through continuous campaigns, develop intercultural networking through intercultural activities (intercultural evenings, european institutions and dialogues, etc), develop open workshops to teach their own european languages and/or workshops to teach competences (art, culture, handicraft, etc), develop patrimony education through best practice examples, school campaings (sessions to inform, educate, promote european values, etc).
