Resumo: The mission of the host organization, and the objectives of the project, are to empower Georgia's citizens, especially youth, with information and increased employability skills.
The project will conduct trainings in English language, computer skills, CV writing, etc., in order to meet our objectives, to empower citizens, increase motivation in youth, and build employability skills. This is relevant in a community whose chief needs are related to high unemployment rates. The project will also empower citizens with information, through our journalist functions, reporting news and maintaining the Municipality's website. And in our week-long camps, as well as some of our regular trainings, the project will specifically serve youth.

Perfil: We are prepared to work with 2 or 3 EVS volunteers at one time. Participants should be motivated to help young people and other citizens empower themselves with greater employability skills, such as English language and computer skills. They should also be motivated to help citizens empower themselves with information provided through journalism and the internet. They should bring energy, enthusiasm, potential leadership qualities, a talent for working with people, and some knowledge of English language, computers, employability skills, or journalistic practices

Tarefas: The English-language trainings, computer skills trainings, other employability skills trainings take place one or more times per week, other employability skills trainings on individually scheduled dates, and the youth camps across scheduled week-long periods. Trainings and camps use effective teaching techniques that that combine lecturing with active trainee participation. The journalistic activities take place continuously and involve attending and recording events, and writing up the news reports afterwards, to be posted on the Municipality's website.The host organization counterparts will work alongside EVS volunteers and coach them in their work.

The project will provide valuable experience to young adults in the early stage of their careers, and participants will also gain confidence. Participating organizations will increase international connections and experience working with foreign nationals. Georgian citizens will expand employability skills, acquire information, and empower themselves to build a more prosperous society and more fulfilling lives.
