Resumo: Youth Network is a youth non-‐governmental organisation based in Slovenia.
We are applying for a new EVS project e and would like to host two EVS volunteers for a duration of one year. The organization is a youth organization in public interest that strives for positive social change and personal growth of young people.
With the help of non-‐formal education it encourages young people to social participation and activation of their peers.
The organization through its various projects promotes and advocates for sustainable development, healty lifestyle and active citizenship of young people. Since this is a young organization, we are still developing its own mentoring/coaching scheme.
This is the main reason to start a one year project with two EVS volunteers with mentorship/coaching skills, who will have an oportunity to build mentorship/ coaching in our organization from the basics and develop own skills of leading and mentoring.
Perfil: Project will be focused on developing mentorship/coaching skills and skills of our activists, especially leaders, this is why we would like to host volunteers who already have experiences in youth work, trainings and leading, if possible also experiences in mentorship/coaching.
We seek for a volunteer between 20 and 26 years with an ability to speak English fluently.
Small exceptions can be made.
Tarefas: - Build a mentorship/coaching scheme in one of the most successful youth organization in Slovenia
‐ Give EVS work and also through participation at trainings for mentors/coaches
- Develop support for leaders in the organization, define most important skills and find a way to improve them
‐ Make a publication regarding mentorship, mentorship/coaching skills and how to develop a sheme in a youth organization, which will be a help tool for other youth organizations while developing their own mentorship/coaching
- Provide sustainability of the mentorship/coaching sheme
This EVS project would take place in Slovenia, with many possibilities to travel around the country and is expected to start at the end of September or beginning of October 2015 and last for one year.
