Resumo: The are located in a rather big, provincial town in Latvia. Our pre-primary school was opened on September 1, 2009 and it is modern. We have more than 100 children attending the school - they are 1.5-7 years old and 28 people staff including 12 teachers. Children attending the nursery are from different social background and disadvantaged families such as low income families and roma children. To integrate children from different social background into the nursery's life requires strong and passionate preparation but taking into consideration all aspects of current tendencies. For example demand of integration and to integrate into the nursery life is very important to become competitive member of society. To accomplish this purpose we are trying to get involved in various projects, regularly organizing social events, travelling and special entertainments. We are exploring the possibility for our children and staff to learn English language. Therefore our staff can enhance their professional development, intercultural communication and European citizenship consciousness through volunteering opportunities.

Perfil: - good English language skills;
- person must be patient, creative, with a positive attitude towards children and is ready to get engaged in any children's' activities such as gluing, decorating, making etc

Tarefas: It will improve their knowledge and skills and will encourage children to learn the basics of the language to be able to talk to the volunteers. We would like to involve volunteers by creating the environment where we can employ non-formal education methods such as games, play sessions, social and other events. Working together with us, volunteers will be able to get involved into our working environment, to learn Latvian folk traditions of our multinational city and build strong friendship relationships with our staff.

To help our teachers to improve their English language skills, we need help from people with a good knowledge in English language and can speak fluently. This partnership between us and a person, who in the future will be willing to participate in this programme, can be more effective if a person is linked to pedagogy, or have genuine interest in education of preschools children
