Resumo: "Outline the project environment for the suggested voluntary activities, including the local community where the project will take place (e.g. geographical, social and economical environment). If the host placement is located in a live-in community, please include the rules and conditions that apply also for the volunteer.
One of the oldest statements in Anatolia,Gaziantep is located at the junction of Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolian Regions of Turkey.It is a neighbouring city with Syria.Population is approximately 1.5 million and most of them are internal immigrant who has come here during last 50 years because of commercial and industrial opportunities.
As a regional crossroads, Gaziantep is a vibrant centre of trade and industry, and is a major manufacturer of Turkish exports.Indeed, Gaziantep is Turkey's third largest exporter of textiles and foodstuffs.
The city has a wide transportation network,including an international airport,railway station and links to major motorways.Gaziantep boasts 3 university (one is in building period) and a lot of state hospitals and private hospitals which are specialized in their area and engage in local and international.
There is a mosaic museum in the city which is the second largest mosaic museum in the world.Also,there are 8 more museums in the city.
The local state provide theatral and cultural events almost everyday in the culture centre.There are 6 big movie centres and also lots of bars,cafes and clubs in the city.
Centre of organization is a big building including free places for all types of activities.Also, there is huge garden which includes a basketball court and a volleyball court.It is a suitable plays for opendoor activities.
Our plays is one of the most safe places in the city because its very close to security.
The volunteers will usually work in that centre but also they will work in an open area while time of setting stands for the social development compaign.They will go to schools to introduces their countries and help the staff for the seminars.
Local community is open to foreigners.People are really motivated for intercutural learning.

We would like to host volunteers who are motivated for intercultural learning and social development and respectful of diversity.The volunteers should be enthusiastic and keen to work in an international group.Besides;
-Volunteers must have basic english for communicate,
-Volunteers must have basic computer knowledge(for office workshop),
-Volunteers must be serious about their works and mission,
-Volunteers must be respectful to the tradition and social/local rules,
Those topics would be reason of choice but They are not obilgatory.
We will declare the selected volunteers in our website for each project application and inform rejected volunteers about reason of the rejection.Thus we will provide a transparent selection process."

We can offer an opportunity for EVS volunteers to learn Turkish language and culture.Also the volunteers will gain experiences to lead a social and information campaign.
By helping in the office, the volunteers will gain new experiences on Microsoft Office Programmes and Machintosh (graphic education) using electronic / mechanic office tools.
Their organisational skills will improve by working with an experienced youth organization.Also being part of an international team will let them improve their practical English skill.
Volunteers pariticipate activities of constitution of our club and those activities will be an opportunity education for them.They will regularly take part in education programmes which our club always provide to present Gaziantep culture and hand on our culture to future.Thanks to this,They will have much opportunity to know local cuture and learn it by living and then they will share these experiences they gain during cultural learning activities with children living in Gaziantep and all these improve their point of view to the world/life.
Volunteers will find chance to do sport activities with children who have fewer oppornuity thanks to the another social commitment workshop of our club called ""Smile To The Life.""During workshops,spending time with children will contribute to their communication ability with different age groups and through sport,improvement of their physically and psychologically will be affected in a positive way and it will develop organisation abilities.
Volunteers will have opportunity to work with disadvantageous children thus they will be able to see the other views of the life.During working,they will help behalf of social improvement by spending time with children who are addicted to drugs before or are already rehablitated in the period of their adaptation to social life,physically and mentally progress.Organisation skills of volunteers will be inevitably improved by taking part in plans,organisations and application period of festivals for childrenand teens which our organisation periodically arrange.
It will be an important experience for them to participate these activities and workshops and when they turn back to their normal lives,it will be a good start to apply new works.
The volunteers will support the staff in organization about coordinating the activities and creating new ideas.
Activities of sport,art and spare time mentioned below will be up to volunteers' choices.
EVS volunteers could be involved in below listed activities;
* To join sports activities(table and court tennis,basketball,volleyball,fencing,cycling,orienteering,handball,wrestling,swimming)
*To join and to help for organize youth scout camps
*To join Arts Activities(Photography,Turkish folklor,Drawing and painting,To learn playing instrument(Course of Ud,Baðlama,Darbuka,Kanun,Guitar,Drum)
*Free time activities(Chorus Works(Turkish Art Music),Ornamental Inlaying,Weaving(special Gaziantep's Cotton""Kutnu"")
*To help staff for preparation of materials of social development seminars
*To help for preparation of seminar environment
*To help staff for setting stands to distribute brochures and to organize information campaigns
*To present their country and culture at the end of each seminars
*To help staff for promotion of oppurtinities for young people
*To help staff for office works
*To help trainers for preparation of regular activities (courses,trainings,social events…)
*To share experiences with volunteers who are planning to do EVS
*To help short movie club,
*To learn survival,
*To help protection of nature,use enviroment consciously,
*To share and learn cultural heritage and involve in sport and conversations
