Resumo: The Directorate of national park is a budgetary governmental organization. 32 people (14 specialists) work here. The National Park was established in 1991 with the aim of preserving, managing and sustainable developing the most valued areas of natural and cultural qualities in the region.
The Park's goals are:
• To conserve the main system of lakes and forests, the existing cultural heritage and restore the damaged parts;
• To carry out scientific research, data collection and regular monitoring of the Park's environmental, ethnic and cultural heritage;
• To cherish the cultural traditions;
• To disseminate ideas and information on environmental protection;
• To encourage traditional forms of farming; to promote appropriate recreation activities, and primarily cognitive tourism.
