Resumo: The host organization,founded on September 30 1998 is an opened platform linking contemporary with social development. We are committed to the contemporary arts and culture that are more than an extension or leisure time activity – they are the means of creativity development, personal growth and discovering new forms of communication. We bring the culture from the edge to the centre of interest and, for us, it is more determining for creating new visions than any political or economical reasons are. All activities of the organization are run by young people (age from 23-32 years).
Since the year 1998, the organization has been carrying out various cultural projects with the aim to develop creativity and discover alternative forms of communication and social life based often on the youth mobility. Its activities are realized on regional, national and international level. Steering from large single projects towards the everyday activity joins the targeting at creation process, direct connection of presentations with educational workshops and other creative projects, what makes the organization an original institution in Slovakia. Since the year 2000 the organization is running "Creative Centre Ateliér", where mainly children 6-14 years old are participating in regular innovative art education workshops (fine art, ceramic, puppets, animation film, work with photos…) Apart from these, few times a year also students of art and young artists are participating in single workshops of new methods in contemporary theatre, dance, visual arts and design.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: We are looking for people who are interested in working in cultural venue. Our volunteers help with organizing events (technical support, photo documentation, ticket selling, poster distribution) and art education (art workshops for kids/adults). We are trying to integrate them also in international projects we are working on. But most of the activities depends on the skills and possibilities of the individual volunteer - combined with what can be usefull for running of our cultural venue.

Often, we got applications from graduates of art schools but we are not really looking for volunteers-artists. We do not make art ourselves, we host artists and provide them space and possibilities to perform/present their art. We are cultural operators, without art ambitions. We are mediators. So volunteers who want to do art can be disappointed and frustrated here - just to clarify the situation
