Resumo: The host organization is located in the centre of the town, near the river. Our small theatre had 7000 visitors in 2012, which is a bigger number than the number of the visitors in the biggest host theatre. The audience is made up of mostly local people, but it is quite common that people arrive from by organised bus tours bigger cities, which have theatres.
The volunteers will work in 2 different places, one of them is at the Film-Theatre, the other one is at training center. Other workplaces can be possible occasionally in the College and in the secondary schools of the city.

Perfil: - be avaliable for the whole duration of the volunteering period and pre-departure training;
- experiences in drama, non-formal and art-education or experiences in photo/video;
- open minded and communicative, creative personality able to work in team;
- flexibility and good knowledge of English language;
- age: 17-30

Tarefas: Local host theatre enables Theathre and Media Education to local children and youth and opens two vacancies – Drama and non-formal Education tutor and Media and documentation maker and tutor. The role of the volunteers for drama education is to come up with and implement drama and non-formal educational workshops for the groups in the theatre.

The structure of these workshops is totally up to the volunteers. The staff can provide all the help and mentorship for the classes, and of course, they will support you and give you advice when you prepare your workshops. Media makers should provide media tools, such as photos, videos for the theatre about the workshops and performances or other happenings around the theatre’s life. Besides the documentation, a weekly workshop will be also among the duties of the chosen volunteer, of course the theatre can provide basic tools (camera, computer, etc.) although the volunteer can do workshops using only mobile phones, tablets or other daily used technical equipments. Collaboration with the other volunteers is also expected. There are many possibilities to connect drama, theatre and media. The volunteers can arrange to make short videos or other things with the participation of the youngsters.
