Resumo: The host organization is an old farmhouse with its origins in the 16th century which is close to the small town. Our property is situated in attractive natural surroundings and offers lots of space.
The town has a population of approx 20.000 inhabitants and is a busy commercial centre. Part of town is a smallfarming community. Bus connections are infrequent. There is a good rail connection.

Perfil: We wish to host open youth, who can reach to other people unknown to them.The volunteer should above all be open to working with young, disabled people. Driver licenceis helpful, because it makes the Mobility easier fr the volunteer but it is no necessary concition.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteers are living on the area and are working in one of the communes. They accompany the children and young people throughout the day. They are helping according to the requirements of the child or the youngster. Some of them need a constant assistant during the day. The others will only need help in specific situations. This help can include various tasks: for example help to get up in the morning, personal hygiene, cooking of meals or help during the meal with eating. An important field of the work of the volunteer will also be the leisure time activities. There are different activities to experience together: Hiking in the nature, shopping in town, celebration of festivities, the visit of cultural events and much more.

The volunteers are respected as valuable member of the multi-professional team are fully integrated. Own competences (for example sport, art or music) can be integrated in the work as an enrichment. With their own cultural identity they are bringing new stimuli for the community, which we know to appreciate
