Resumo: The volunteer will live with other EVS volunteers and will share facilities (room, kitchen, bath, etc). In the apartment will be all necessary domestic equipment (fridge, washing mashine, etc.) The volunteer will get pocket money, also money for transportation and food every month.

The volunteers will live in a safe surrounding in a rented apartment. The twon is a quite safe environment and there are not any specific risks related to the activities. Having this in mind, we do not expect any serious problems regarding volunteers safety during their stay.
The work environmental is safe and friendly. It is situated in a converted old cinema, an area of relatively high economic and social deprivation. While many of the young members and visitors to the centre have less social and economic opportunities, the centre and team provide a safe and welcoming environment and this is respected. We are continually improving and building relationships with all sectors of the local community, the wider young community and other stakeholders, to increase local ownership, participation, community integration and increased long-term sustainability.

Perfil: The recruitment of future volunteers will be clear and organised. After outlining what we need, the tasks and duties required and also the supports needed regarding accomodation, mentors, skills, personnell, etc., we will be clearer on the skills, type of person and attributes needed for a successful placement. This will also form the basis for the activity agreement. We will then post adverts for volunteers based on this. Over several months, data of different candidates will be collected and studied. The selection will be made by our team.

Requirements are: mimimum knowledge of English, interested in work with youth, any experience in the working field, creativity, artistic and/or sporting interests and aptitude, the ability to work on own inititative as well as general characteristics, etc.
The selected candidates will be asked if they are still available for the project. Then, all staff members have a meeting, and make a top 3 of their best candidates based on information received and requirements needed and talk about them. Then the EVS-coordinator contacts the selected candidate with the good news.
Volunteers should be sociable, not afraid building up contacts, having conversations with strangers. It is also important to have teamwork skills. It would be good if volunteers have experience working with children and young people. We need creativity and initiative in all situations.

The Youth Centre is open Monday to Friday from 13 to 19 hour. Saturday and Sunday– days off.

Tarefas: All activities for every volunteer are focused on nonformal learning, intercultural learning, personal and professional development. The volunteer will help the team to implement activities for open youth center visitors. Specific tasks will be allocated according to the volunteers' personal abilities and interests.
The volunteer roul and main tasks will be: comunication with yougsteers, building up trust and creating good relations with organization visitors.

Through working with young people in various fields, the volunteer will gain social and personal skills, group work skills, learn how to allocate time, highlighting the priority activities, will get acquainted with our country's culture, customs, and traditions, will acquire the language and communications skills. We will offer non-formal education seminars, intercultural learning, language learning activities. Through organising activities and events, the volunteer will gain communication, organisation, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

Specific volunteer activities:
-contact person for young people at youth center;
-help the youth center staff with Center administration, care the premises;
-leisure offer for young people: workshops, music, thematic evenings, sports and outdoors activities; organising activities and events.
-we have 5 our traditional events every year (like Street culture day, Love day, etc.) and volunteer would be a member of organizing team and big support in organizing it.
- presentation of volunteer country, it can be language lesson, presentation of youth popular music, traditional cooking, workshop, games, sharing hobby, self-presentation, etc.
The organisation will give every opportunity if possible to implement volunteer’s activity, and do our best to accompany, support and to implement different ideas.
