Resumo: The host organization is considered one of the oldest eco-village in the world. The host organization was established as a children’s home 80 years ago, but today the organization focuses on offering people with special needs varied and creative employment opportunities, jobs in organic horticulture and forestry in a close-knit community that focuses on environmental issues and vivid cultural life. The workplaces include six creative art workshops, an organic bakery and food processing unit, organic forestry, organic horticulture, Guesthouse and an organic café. All products are sold in the grocery store and art gallery.

Perfil: Age: 17-30 years old

Tarefas: Eco –tourism:
• To develop eco-tourism in the community
• To develop and host and take part in eco educational programmes in the community
• To welcome eco – tourists to the community – guide people if needed
• Welcome guest to the Eco centre - guide people if needed
• This volunteer need to speak good English.

This is a great project for an volunteer that have interest in eco-friendly lifestyle, that have interest and knowledge about tourism and want to build up a sustainable tourism in the community.

Organic food production
We are looking for an intern that would like to take part in forming a product line with food-processing team. At the moment the team produces jar products such as marmalades, chutney and salsa along with soups, spices and oils all from organically cultivated natural materials.
It is also a certified organic bakery whose products are made exclusively from organically cultivated ingredients. Its breads, cakes and pies are served in the cafeteria and sold in café, Market and a few shops in the area. In addition to the current product line, there is continued development and new products are consistently added.
This opportunity could be suitable for a volunteers that has great interest in organic production and eco-lifestyle.
