Resumo: The Municipal Recreational Room and the Youth Centre works during the nine months of school activity, opening to the young people in the evenings and covering extra-time school, with a proposal for recreational and leisure activities at the same time as work cleaning and reading habits.

The Recreation Room and the Youth Centre have as regular activities:

 "Solidarity March", registration fee is donated to an NGO (campaign from September to November)
 "I see-I see" collecting used glasses (Campaign from September to January)
 "Moms Club" teach to play (campaign from November to February)
 "Step Up recycled" collecting cardboard, plastic, batteries and glass (over the year in the Centre itself, three different containers)
 “T'Obrim La NIT”, offers to the youth population an alternative of nigh leisure, giving them the possibility of being able to spend some hours in a healthy and different way.
 “Semana Jove”, a week focuses on the youth people full of leisure and cultural activities.

Perfil: No matter girl or boy but it is very important for us, the person who is coming needs to be open-mind, responsible, willing to be flexible and to collaborate. No need to have concrete studies but really the behaviour is something we really focus on and give a lot of importance.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: (1) What the organization can offer to the volunteers about service and learning opportunities
We would like volunteers acquire during their experience in our project:

TECHNICAL SKILLS LEARNING
 Development in the area of individual attention to groups with fewer opportunities and at risk
 Support functions in specific programs for groups with fewer opportunities and at risk
 Help in coordinating activities for groups with fewer opportunities and at risk
 Participation in development programs of personal and social skills
 Planning and scheduling
 Support activities assessments and monitoring in specific cases
 Development of the activities of the Local Host Association
 Support in outings and/or camps, etc...
 Development of sports activities for young people.
 Increased capacity of observation
 Acquisition of responsibility towards disadvantaged groups
 Increased understanding of the problems of groups with fewer opportunities and at risk

Through our workers and national volunteers, European volunteers will know all areas of activities taking place in the Recreation Room and Youth Centre. They will participate as support member of the professional in all activities, in the evaluation and in schedules, objectives and activities design; they will assist in the coordination and review meetings scheduled and cooperate in cultural activities outside both Entities.

(2) The role of EVS volunteers in the host organization
The role of the volunteers in our Organization will be to assist the professional staff in their work. This will involve carrying out all activities that have to be developed in any area within the daily schedule of the Recreation Room and the Youth Center. Volunteers will never supersede any job. Volunteers will be a support figure in training and educational activities developed with groups of children and young, under the supervision of professionals directly to users. They will help to schedule and to plan the different work areas and in activities undertaken. Also, volunteers may not directly be responsible for any users.

In more concrete ways:
 To support the Responsible of the Recreation Room and Youth Center to train people in the neighborhood about the importance of the game as elements that favors the integral development of children and young person.
 To develop a phase of participative observation with families.
 To collaborate in the report of the services offered by the Recreation Room and the Youth Centre to the entire population within an information campaign (brochures, posters, etc...)
 To assist in the organization and operate the Recreation Room and Youth Center.
 To contribute in the distribution of the spaces, adequate the local to the needs.
 To cooperate in the organization and conduct of procurement of recreational funds:
 Support in the realization of files: recreational funds, listing children and young
 Support in the organization of hygiene tasks of the toys and space
 Support in the development of the internal rules of the Recreation Room and Youth Centre
 Support in the purchase of new material
 To help to encourage community participation of the neighborhood in the execution of specific activities under the concept of the Recreation Room and Youth Centre as a space for dialogue and inter-generational learning.
 To discover the work through the Recreation Room and Youth Centre Assemblies.
 To cooperate in the planning of schedule activities, excursions, outings with the participation of parents, family, etc...

(3) The activities in which volunteers could participate and those activities volunteers will be able to create in the organization. Provide examples of typical activities/tasks for volunteers
It is important to reiterate that all activities, in which volunteers will provide their support and effort, will be carried out with the advice and under the supervision of the professional staff of our Entities.
The activities in which the volunteers will be located may be chosen by themselves as long as they can remain for some time in each workshop/activity until to be able to function with ease.

Always under the supervision of professionals and depending on the different workshops, the support of volunteers may include accompaniment of users in outside activities (especially those with greater needs).
In activities of leisure and free time and general activities, volunteers will support professionals in monitor functions. Volunteers will work in both the preparation of the activities and the care of users.
In addition, volunteers will have a space to develop their own projects and ideas and they will receive support from both the Coordinating organization and the host organization to set them up.

More specifically, the Volunteers will support and participate in the following activities:
+ Participate in briefings, programming and evaluation activities
+ Participate in the preparation of activities along with Monitors (shopping, preparation facilities, etc...)
+ Actively participate in implementing of the specific activities of the Recreation Room and Youth Centre
+ Support individualized interventions that educators realize with certain minors.

(4) Schedule, Days off, Vacations
Schedule
The schedule of volunteers will not exceed 35 hours a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09h30 to 13h30, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16h00 to 20h30, Tuesday and Thursday from 16h00 to 20h00). This schedule may change depending on the activities in which the volunteers participate. The activities schedule may vary depending on the content and schedule of activities (specific activities on weekends).
Days off
Volunteers will enjoy two days of rest per week (Saturday and Sunday) and all those holidays that occur on the Spanish holiday’s calendar.
Vacations
For each month of activity volunteers will be granted of 2,5 days of vacation, which will be accumulated and enjoy after agreeing dates with the responsible of the Ludoteca Municipal and Centro Juvenil It will always be considered as the holiday period, the time when both Entities close for holiday or festivities.
