Resumo: The host organization is located in a culturally active town. Arts and sports are well represented in the region. Village is home of many artists and quite a many of them work in the same building. Also folk college and open university are active in the region. The village provide all necessary services: health care, pharmacy, post-office, bank, supermarkets, library, movie-theatre & cafes.
The village has the big garden and animals at the premises. Gardening and keeping of the animals are important activity.
Residence of the volunteer is beside the nursing home. Village is in a walking distance (1 km).
The host organization (where the volunteers’ work is due mainly to take place) is located at the heart of village.
Perfil: We prefer the volunteer who is interested to work with disabled people as well as interested of art and culture.
Age: 17-30
Tarefas: Role of the volunteer will be the helper of disabled people either at the host organization, the home for disabled people. Customers of the organization make skillful handicrafts (weave carpets and rugs with loom, dye fabrics, make big works of art etc.). Work of the volunteer contains personal assisting of disabled people at their work.
Workshop visits regurarly at art-musems, cultural-happenings etc., and arrange also its own exhibitions. Volunteer is needed also to help in that kind of activities.
A volunteer is due to work also on evenings at the organization. Work hours at the organization are Mon - Fri 15.00 – 21.00. Typically this work-shift consists of assistance of disabled people in a course of their personal life.
A volunteer might join in hobbies and arrange activities with customers (walking, gardening playing sport-games etc.)
The organization offer for a volunteer a chance to learn a contemporary discoursive approach in work with disabled people.

12.30 - 13.15 Lunch-time: Joining for lunch with customers and assisting to clean up the tables when lunch is finished
