Resumo: The Association is an organisation founded by parents that have children with mental disabilities. Already 2 years we opened a day Centre for people with mental disabilities and their parents and relatives. The Center is opened from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 – 14:00, every day there are organised diferent recreational and educational activities, such as: sport activities, sewing class, working with the wood, theater, our staff is working mainlly on voluntary basis, some of them are parents, some of them are volunteers that want to help. Every day to the Centre come up to 15 beneficiaries.

The Center is visited by around 33 children, every day come 10 - 15, the age of the beneficieries is from 18 – 55 years. Volunteer will be part of the team, that consits from: pedagogues for: sport activities, workshop for working with diferent natural materials (wood, clay, etc.) independent life skils, logoped, estetic classes (concert, theate), embrodery ribbons, costum design, sewing class, teacher for school classes (mathematic, grammar, science). Volunteer will assist mainly the pedagogues in organising the activities for the beneficiaries, will work individually with beneficiaries during the session. Latter when volunteer will adapt to the rules of the Centre and staff he will have the oportunity to propose his own ideias for the activities with the beneficiaries.

Perfil: The volunteer is expected to bring his/her creativity, project ideas, experience in, for example, arts and cultural expressions and/or sports and games to work and participate, support and lead different kind of projects that is developed at our centre.
The volunteer will bring his/her experiences from another culture and the process of getting familiar with Moldovan society to the everyday work and life.After adaptation volunteer will be asked to help some beneficiaries to to come to the center and after activities to go with them back home.

Horário: Every day there is a schedule that is respected. Approximately it looks like:

• Educational activites change every day – Monday - glina, mathematic, grammar; Tuesday and Thursday – social activity – estetic education (concerts, theater); Wednesday – work in the garden / cleaning the teritoryaround the building / excursions, theater, museum, gardening in the village/ sewing 11:00 till 14:00; Friday – grammar, mathematic, embrodery ribbons. If the weather is good on Friday we go gardening, Wednesday – excursions

Condições: Volunteer(s) will live in a host family or volunteer’s flat with shared kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Also volunteer(s) will have acces to the land line phone in their accomodation. Internet can be accessed in the internet cafes and wifi spots in the city, also some volunteer flats have internet access at individual basis. Depending on the district of the city where volunteer will live he/she can reach the center by foot or by public transportation. Volunteer(s) will receive pocket money, food and local transportation allowances from the organization.
Normally volunteer(s) is/are picked up by the mentor(s) and is brought to the place of the accomodation. For better adaptation the organization provides volunteer(s) with on-arrival orientation, volunteer(s) receive intensive language course language and are enroled to on-arrival training. The organization also arranges first meeting at the Center in order to get to know the Centre, staff, beneficiaries, activities also to discuss rights and responsabilities of the volunteer(s) and the schedule of volunteer’s working week.
In the Center volunteer(s) will be supported by his/her supervisor, who will help him/her to find his/her place in the organisation, supervisor is the person that will answer all the questions that a volunteer will have.

The language learning process will continue on a daily basis in the work environment through communication with co-workers, youngsters and the people in the community
