Resumo: The university has 37,500 students; about 1,900 PhD students - of which one in four has a foreign nationality - and close to 700 postdoctoral scholars together with 8,000 employees (2012). AU has four faculties - Faculty of Arts,Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Business & Social Sciences. The faculties cover the entire research spectrum – basic research, applied research, strategic research and research based advice to the authorities.
In recent years the organization has been moving up the most important university ranking lists. In 2013 the university was number 71 at the Ranking and number 138 of 17,000 universities on the Times Higher Education World University Ranking.
Internationalization is part of the University’s mission and it continuously works to strengthen the international profile of the University through a series of initiatives which will increase international research partnerships and the number of international students

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The University and the Public Libraries are collaborating to establish an Author Scene International in order to present important international authors and draw attention to their works and ideas in Denmark. The collaboration between University and Library will be used to engage the students in communicating their knowledge in a competent way to the broad readership e.g. through oral presentations, exhibitions and written presentations at the library.

The volunteer will be seated in the same building of both the mentor and contactperson and will be participating in all meetings between the university and the liberies. The volunteer should be interested in literature, events and communication.

Typical tasks for the volunteer will be to suggest relevant authors for the international authorscene, contacting writers and follow-up in relation to the visit, participate in organizing each event in collaboration with the university and libraries, writing applications for Funding, managing the webpage and do PR-activities for the scene.
