Resumo: The host organization conducts a permanent activity in France and step by step.
We work in rural and urban areas, in the fields of built heritage and natural areas. Our activities aim at answering a need for business creation and employment in the field of social economy and the promotion of eco-activities. These projects are each conducted with a cross-cultural exchange and promotion of citizenship. We can cite as example:
- Implementation of degree programs in the field of eco-construction that allowed to structure the professional training in this area;
- To create an inclusion company specialized in the rivers’ conservation and restauration by mobilization of plant engineering, responding to a major issue for communities to meet European regulations on water;
- Accompaniment to create a ‘ressourcerie’ (waste valorization and selling/exchanging recycled goods) to promote and ensure better management and recycling of waste in that territory;
- -Animation of the international actions;
- -Accompaniment of communities in their local sustainable development projects (ongoing prospective study on a white area on two territories, consisting of three rural communities.
We have therefore in recent years developed a knowledge of rural Brittany and benefit from the recognition of local actors. Our hosting projects for European volunteers will be built in connection with these actions and territories to bring a European dimension to our projects and to the territorial projects carried by the local Breton communities. The involvement of young volunteers is also a plus for these projects, because of their commitment and motivation.
The European added value will bring a sharing of experiences and initiatives on various topics of community interest and enable young people to become involved as active European citizens.
The volunteers will have the opportunity to discover the region in its cultural diversity and work in proximity to local actors.
The organization will develop individual and collective hosting of EVS in TWO specific settings:
1. Long term EVS, collective hosting of volunteers in a partner institution (home for young workers, agricultural colleges, university campus, etc.) or in connection with a local development project supported by our organisation (local accommodation).
2. Short term EVS, for young people with fewer opportunities : the young volunteer(s) will be hosted on their workcamp site.

Perfil: We would like to work with our partners from networks we are usually working with, and in particular our network, and also with the european partners of the local territories we are working with. This in order to increase our relationship with our existing partners. Nevertheless we are ready to cooperate with new partners. We would like strengthening or developing territorial partnerschip via EVS actions.
The volunteer will be open minded, interested by the intercultural meeting and sharing experiences, and have the team spirit. The volunteer has to be motivated to organise activities with the local population.The volunteer should be motivated to work with people from differents social, cultural backgrounds.

Depending on the project, the volunteers will be recruited though different moralities, regarding running specific partnerships. A total transparency will be guaranteed by a clear explanation of our criteria to the volunteers.
- Within the network, a common recruitment procedure was adopted by our partners. A document was realized to allow candidates to apply in a standardized form.
- We will take inspiration from the process to recruit volunteers on our other collective activities (resource shop,…), favoring as much as possible the most relevant European partnership regarding the project (local partners in case of town twinning or decentralized cooperation actions, activity partnerships, etc.)
For the hosting of short term EVS, the volunteers will be recruited though our national placement office, which has had a practice of this kind of coordination since 1999, in link with our international workcamp coordinator.
Age:17-30

Tarefas: The volunteer(s) will be a full participant in our action and bring the European dimension to our projects.
These volunteers will be supported by permanent or short term employees : They will relay our organisation project and values and decline it on the field through intercultural meetings, trade of practices, international mobility or workcamp actions.
It will be an opportunity for the volunteer(s) to experience immersion in local life and French culture, but also the confrontation with other backgrounds and international blend.

Hosting volunteers at the organization can be done in two different ways. These two modes can also be combined as part of a volunteering process, and allow a voluntary approach tailored to the needs and expectations of the youngster:
1. Long term EVS : collective EVS, open to all, hosting over a period of 2 to 12 months. Volunteers will be accommodated in a hostel for young workers, or on the sites of our local projects or in a room at local people’s places.
2. Short term EVS : EVS for young people with fewer opportunities (educational difficulties, economic, social, geographical ...) based on our commitment to openness and integration of people in trouble, in a current activity (immersion). Hosting of volunteer will last from 2 weeks to 2 months. Accommodation will be carried out in tents while camping or in a roofed accommodation provided by the community.

1. In long term EVS, volunteers will be offered the following tasks:

As part of the long term EVS, we propose to focus on collective hosting (minimum 2 persons), with the objective of promoting a European dimension to our development projects of eco-activities. This will indeed allow :
- Exchanging and acquiring experience at European level on strong topics of community interest, in line with local projects for sustainable development
- Experimentation of innovative practices
- Promotion of European citizenship
- Openness to Europe of rural Brittany
- Strengthening our European partnerships
Three proposals may be cited as examples in this Expression of interest:

a. The project of European teams of volunteers for the Environment:
Long term EVS of 2 to 5 months.
This project aims to promote environmental volunteering at a European scale. At a time when ecological and social urgency has perhaps never been stronger in Europe and worldwide, the movement has partnered with the creation of a new European network for volunteering environment. Building on its strong practice in this area (volunteer sites, workshops and inclusion projects ...) and international cooperation in 60 countries, the organization proposed to the members of this network a European-scale project of environmental teams of volunteers. These teams will carry out interventions in a territory by developing technical skills, leadership and training and will mix existing statutes: local youth and other regions, young Europeans or even young international people.

The project includes an annual period of six months. European partner organizations work together in order to offer to the volonteers a common and structured plan including : a first month of preparation within the sending organization, four months of voluntary service on the work place during which the volunteers make a commitment in a team acting in favour of the environment for the benefit of a territory, then, a last month period during which the volunteers put into practice the experience and the skills acquired during their commitment in SVE, for the benefit of their own territory and of the sending organization.

Several kind of missions could be proposed to these teams :
1/ Technique : realization of environmental works : Restauration and maintenance of natural spaces, opening or maintenance of paths…
2/ Scientist : Environmental inventory, in particular by the study of the impact of the environmental interventions on the territory
3/ Educational : Sensitization to the fragility of the environment (with the school, with the local population, with visitors, …), link with the local actors.
Every local project will welcome every year 4 volunteers in EVS, beside local volunteers.
In 2012, first the project will be organized in partnership with the Biological Station, to support the emergence of a Center of Scientific Culture in rural areas on the site, property of the biological Station.
Four young french volunteers will also be sent within the project supported by our European partners, members of the network.
a. The project
Long term EVS of 6 to 12 months on a site permanently managed by the association.
The site, owned by the community has benefited from the action of the organization, which managed its rehabilitation since 2002 through the intervention of inclusion programs and international workcamps of volunteers. Under the impetus of our organization, the project is now supported by the community and 4 organisations structured in a group. They propose actions contributing to make the site a "citizen crossroads of local and international cultures" offering :
- Animations of environmental awareness and crafts of the past
- Guided tours with demonstrations on old machines for scutching flax
- A resource center for sustainable development, wealth and international
- Cultural activities
- Hosting of groups
- International workcamps and exchanges
The organization is responsible in this group to develop the international and European dimension of the site. As such, we have in recent years developed a number of actions:
- One to two workcamps of international volunteers (youth and seniors) take place every summer to participate in the development and enhancement of the site;
- The hosting of a euro-workcamp was completed in 2007 on the theme of carpentry;
- A youth exchange in the programme was completed in September 2009, in link with the neighbour community of cities;
- A thematic Gruntdvig workshop on the theme of Breton and European cooking was conducted in August 2011.
We want to offer collective hosting EVS volunteers on this project to support its European dimension. This will allow us to strengthen our existing partnerships around this project. A convention will be signed next spring with the community to recognize and strengthen the international efforts that we initiated in the framework of the collective association.

•• •
As part of the EVS, volunteers will be welcomed and immersed in the overall project, while having specific tasks in connection with our team of permanent staff and volunteers on site:
- Implementation of environmental realisations on site, in connection with the inclusion employees of the association, in a process of preservation of biodiversity on the site
- Creation of animations to promote European citizenship
- Promotion of the international and intercultural learning
