Resumo: The Republic of Moldova is situated between Romania and Ukraine. The population of country is about 3.7 mln people from different ethnical groups (Moldavian, Rumanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, Gagauzian, etc). The majority of population lives in rural area and main activities in villages are related with farming and livestock. The last decade was characterized by a few waves of migration of active population. More than 500 thousand of people from active population, according to official data), migrated to either to Western countries or to Russia and Ukraine. This phenomenon influenced significantly on development of the country: though the GBP was increased due to remittances sent to the country, however a lot of negative social effects for the society were noticed: lonely elderly, abandoned children, discouraged teenagers, slow social-economical growth and constant inflation. For long period Republic of Moldova was one of fifteen Soviet Republic, and due to the specific political regime, population continue to live in fear, to be obedient to state and local authorities, waiting from them solutions or orders what to do. The new independent democratic country was proclaimed in 1991. But the changes in population mentality are going very slow, as it was deprived from liberties, initiatives and participation.

With small and modest steps the organization tries to inspire and to encourage population to be active in to take part in building new society, new community, which is able to mobilize its potential in solving various situations. In order to encourage communities and participation in solving social needs, the organization invites volunteers to share their experience, to contribute with their own forces and intentions to improve reality of the needy population.

The main office of the Catholic Religious Mission is situated in Moldova. The city is the main administrative, economic, scientific and cultural centre of Moldova. The city has just over 700,000 inhabitants and the whole metropolitan area is roughly one million inhabitants.

In every district there is access to city transportation, shopping centres, hospitals, banks, police units, post offices, sport clubs, cafes and restaurants, night clubs. In the volunteers can benefit from a wide range of low budget-free time activities, for example student cafes, informational centres with free access to libraries and Internet, alternative art clubs and houses. In the office are working 15 people, which speak fluently English and also Romanian and Russian ( the most common languages for Moldova). One of the most important value of the organization is respect to Christian values and ethics, and following to Social Catholic Teaching, the same things the organization expects from the volunteers, who can see in the poor – brothers and sisters. Volunteers are accommodated in the volunteers flats or hosting families within the city. Every volunteer has his/her own room and access to basic facilities according to Moldovan standards of life. Volunteer will be paid monthly food allowance to cover the food expenses and will eat at home.

Perfil: The main recruitment criteria for project candidate are the following:
- sociable, patient, flexible;
- willing to learn the local language;
- able to work independently and in a team, willing to take initiative;
- age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteer tasks could be different depending on ability and willingness to engage. This depends on region and project he/she is willing to be involved. The organization has several projects with many tasks, but the volunteer can choose. For example:
- helping in organizing social projects with local volunteers: organization, monitoring, perform photographic documentation, perform evaluation of projects ( e.g. meetings, trainings, courses). The work will be out and indoor.
- promotional activities: updating web page, participation in social events, writing articles, taking photos, creating and printing a bulletin, creation of promotional materials: videos, leaflets, posters.
