Resumo: The project “Youth in the support of Rroma community” is a group EVS project which will be held in five rural rroma communities from the County.
The themes of the project are: information and communication and rroma communities.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- Realizing an innovative EVS stage by direct involvement of 12 volunteers from India, Nepal, Argentina, Turkey, Portugal and France in solving social problems facing Roma communities.
- Acquisition of basic knowledge on active participation to the community’s life by EVS
volunteers.
- Developing feelings of tolerance, solidarity, preventing racism and xenophobia among young volunteers.
- Making friendship relations between the five EVS volunteers and young people from Rroma
communities.
- Promoting volunteering in general, and European voluntary service in Romani communities.
- Establishing an online portal aiming the share of best practices for projects addressing Roma communities.

- Co-organization of educational programs as "summer kindergarden", "second chance",
"parents` school".
- Organization of regional seminars and of an annual conference.
- Making a media campaign in Rroma communities;
- Promoting volunteering.
The above activities will be implemented using a variety of methods of non-formal education as:
workshops, debates, structured dialogue, labyrinth theatre, socio-educational animation, lifecoaching, photo-voice, film voice, flash mob, living library, street animati

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: - co-organizing the summer kindergarden. Within this activity implemented by the organization in partnership with the School Inspectorate, the volunteers, together with qualified staff of the organization, will go in rroma communities and will inform the parents about the organziation of the summer kindergarden. They will inform the parents about the benefits of the summer kindergarden and about the importance for children to go to kindergarden before starting the first class. Within the summer kindergarden, the volunteers will organize interactive and recreative
games for children (sport games and workshops of music and drawing).

- co-organizing the activity “Second chance”. Within this activity in partnership with the School Inspectorate, the volunteers supported by the organization qualified staff, will go in rroma communities in order to inform the young people and the adults that skipped the school about the possibility to return to school and make “second chance” courses. Within the “second chance” courses, the volunteers will lead info sessions with the young people, about the European Community, about citizens’ rights and importance of participating to the European elections.
Also, the volunteers will initiate courses of English, French, German and Portuguese for the participants in the “second chance” courses in order to motivate them to participate in such courses. This activity will be 2 days every week, in the afternoon.

- co-organizing the activity “the school of parents”. Within this activity organized by the organization with schools from Rroma communities, the volunteers accompanied by the organization qualified staff, will inform the parents about this activity and will organize sessions for informing the parents about the citizens rights. This activity will be done one day weekly, in the afternoon.

- organizing 2 regional seminars. Within this activity, supported by qualified staff, the volunteers will realize posters of the seminars, flyers for informing and will invite representatives of the local authorities, PMs si EPMs, which together with Rroma youth and leaders will debate topics related to UE policies in youth domain, citizens rights, combating the poorness and marginalization, combating prejudices and racism.

- organizing an annual conference, event within which, the volunteers will share the experience acquired during the EVS stage and will give opportunity to other actors involved to share from the acquired experience.

- organizing a media campaign for informing. Supported by qualified the organization staff and in partnership with the Antidrug National Agency, National Council for Combating Discrimination, County Agency for Employment, the volunteers will prepare and implement a media campaign in rroma communities, campaign which will focus on presenting the citizens rights, the importance of participating in the European elections, the fight against racism, prejudices, discrimination and drugs consume, combating poorness and marginalization. Within the media campaign, the volunteers will elaborate promotional posters, informational flyers, press releases, TV news, advertisements, will take part in TV shows.

- collecting information about the traditions and customs from the rroma communities and about healthy food recipes from rroma communities.

Horário: The volunteers will work 6 hours / day from Monday to Friday. Their schedule will be organized
as follow:
9.00.10.00: preparing the activity.
10.00-13.00: activities in rroma communities.
13.00-14.00: lunch break.
14.00-16.00: Activities in rroma communities. The volunteers will have 2 days off every month, will have days off according to Romanian legislation and will have holidays according to the universitary year 2013 – 2014.
