Resumo: The host organization is located in a beautiful medieval town very well connected . Activities will start on the first of September. This is a 12 months project. The house is in the city centre, very near to the local shopping center. House have all facilities and a wi-fi internet connection. House have two big double room, a dining room, a bathroom and a kitchen. Every volunteers have enough personal space. The organization structures are able to host 4 volunteers at a time in that project

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: 1) Rural and outdoor activities with disabled people. The organization is an irregular shape of cultivated field where volunteers will help host organization operators in the therapeutic use of farming practices. Social farms utilise the normal activities in a farm to provide health, social or educational care services for a range of vulnerable groups of people and provide a supervised, structured programme of farming-related activities. The purpose of social farming is to promote mental and physical health by giving people the opportunity to spend time working on the land. In the organization can provide supervised, structured programs of farming-related activities, including animal farming, crop and vegetable production and woodland management.

Volunteer will be working with people having mental illness. Here there are also activities connected with pet therapy and sport and activities outdoor.

2) Second type of activity is placed in a rehabilitation center, where cooperative runs a rehabilitative centre for mental and physics diseases. Here the organisation is involved in creative and artistic labs in order to support social activities in favour of disabled people. There will be two kind of activities, one is an artistic lab and this year it will be strongly connected with painting workshops and a laboratory to develop autonomy (each year is different and hold by different psychologists, this year it would be a theatre laboratory). It is practiced by using therapeutic recreational treatments and recreational services to help people with illnesses, disabilities, and other conditions to develop and use their leisure time in ways that will enhance their health, independence, and well-being.

In both activities, but especially in the second one, volunteers can create others activities and promote innovative workshops in favor of disabled people because the young people point of view helps to create new efficient solutions in social integrations. We’ve already hosted volunteers in this places. Their contribution has been priceless. They have brought to this activities place enthusiasm, knowledge, openness and new prospective. Moreover each of them have improve upon in the organization system because everyone have specific knowledge, hobby, passion that can be actively phased in Host Organisation. Each personal experience, each culture in unique and can be a valuables resource.

Horário: Activities will take place 5 days per week with a mixed weekly planning. We’ll use a 6 month shift structure, so that at the end of the project, volunteers will have experienced all kind of situation. Service won’t ever exceed 35 hours per week (including Italian lessons)..
