Resumo: The organization is located in a a town by the sea, which has beautiful beaches. The main source of income is tourism, especially cultural tourism (as there is plenty of cultural heritages and its surroundings), and rural tourism (as there is a lot of small villages surrounded by beautiful and unique landscapes). As a result of this tourist activity, the town changes a lot, depending on the season of the year. It is rather peaceful and quiet in winter, with not too many activities taking place, whereas in summer it tums to a town full with people both Spanish and foreigners with an attractive cultural offer.

There is an oceanic type of climate, which generally features warm, but not hot summers and cool, but not cold winters. The level of precipitation is around 1200mm a year (which means, it rains quite a lot).

Perfil: There are no special requirements and no specialized knowledge is necessary, because the host organization will provide volunteers with a specific training at the beginning of the activity and during all the project months according to the level of Spanish of the volunteers which improves with time. It is however an added value if a candidate has previous experience with non-formal education activities or islwas a member of a Youth association and/or has collaborated with other NGOs or has participated in campaigns raising awareness on social issues at a local or regional level.

Due to project characteristics, the perfect candidate for this project should have at least the basic level of Spanish, when they arrive- because the project is too short to allow volunteers with absolutely NO knowledge of Spanish to learn enough to carry out project tasks satisfactorily, bearing in mind the language support that we can offer as a coordinating organization.

We have learnt with experience that a too long adaptation period and too easy project tasks for a long period of time, can demotivate young volunteers strongly. Our intention is to host volunteers with different language levels, so that they can help each other and the person with a higher level of Spanish can be in charge of the group of volunteers.

Our Project is open to both: male and female volunteers, trying to keep the balance. In order to create an intercultural environment and not to discriminate anyone, our intention is to host volunteers, whose countries of origin are different, thus it boosts intercultural learning.

Volunteers who decide to take part in this project should respect the aims of the organization, complying with the rules established by the organization, taking part in specific training organized by the host and coordinating organization and collaborating with the planning and evaluation of the activities, carrying out the designated tasks, keeping all the information and personal data confidential, being respectful towards the users of the programme, staff and other volunteers (signing of the contract).

Our volunteer should be motivated, flexible, with initiative and ready to suggest activities. Moreover, the volunteer should be ready to live in a shared room with other European volunteer.

Our project is designed to be adjustable volunteer's profile, interests and individual needs. Volunteer can choose to be more active in the area where they feel most comfortable.

Tarefas: Our volunteers will be offered activities in different areas:

Training

• Training Sessions at Training Courses for youth and group leaders and other specific training oourses.

• Training activities (like for example creative workshops) to increase foreign language leaming opportunities.

Leisure Time and Youth Information and entertainment
===========================================
• Educative activities: summer camps, Work Camps, campings, drug prevention prevention activities, animation activities with youngsters in rural areas, environmental activities, night altemative activities for young people, etc ...

• Youth Information and advice.

European Programmes
====================
• Dissemination activities of Youth in Action Programme, acciones promotional campaigns of European Voluntary Service

• Other training activities within Youth in Action Programme

• Supporting Spanish local volunteers in writing their CVs.

All of the mentioned activities allow volunteers to contribute with their experience, ideas and creativity.

Volunteers will be also involved in activities to promote "Youth in Action and EVS· and will have the opportunity to propose initiatives and project ideas in the area of promotion of Youth in Action and European awareness and topics conceming Europe among youth and youth workers in educative centers.

Volunteers' daily activities will take place from Monday to Friday in the moming between 10,00 and 15,00 and also during two days a week in the aftemoon from 18.00 to 20.00. Volunteers will also collaborate to carry out occasional activities, which may take place at weekends, in which case they will have two consecutive days off during the following week.

The tasks of the volunteer might be:

1. Planning, carrying out and evaluation of the activities in which they participate (proposals, suggestions and initiatives of the volunteer will be taken into account).
2. Participation in working groups with other local volunteers, making of the materials, searching for resources.
3. Helping to design and carry out information campaigns about Youth in Action (designing and distribution of leaflets, organizing calendar of events, designing promo material, PP presentations).
4. Updating the blog to promote EVS and the website of the ooordinating organization (oollecting and selection of information, participative activities, updating the news).
5. Carrying out a personal project with support of the organization or other centers, which oollaborate with us.
