Resumo: The volunteer will share a collective apartment with other EVS, which will offer her/him a rich intercultural exchange. The city (47000 inhabitants) is the second most important town in the Department. There are several museums and 3 art schools , a theater.
The school
The reasons to register their children at the school are multiple: the specific teaching pedagogy, the linguistic immersion, the associative organization and from this the fact of the family ambiance at school, the promotion of the language and culture. These are somes of the aspects that attract families from different social and cultural origins. The open-mindedness school philosophy and the linguistic immersion has attracted parents from other countries.

The school hosts more than sixty children divided into three classrooms. The teaching staff is composed of three teachers, a part-time teacher of French and a full-time nursery school assistance. An extra staff manage extra-curricular time and a cleaning lady also work in the school. The administrative management is ensured by voluntary parents.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: Extra-curricular time: proposal, in collaboration with the staff, of free-time activities and entertaining with the childrens (interior and external games, manual, artistic workshops etc….). On the following schedules (as an indication): from 12:00 to 13:45 and from 16: 45 to 18:00).

School-time: a four-hour-intervention/day in the classroom, in collaboration with the teaching staff and depending on the EVS proposals and qualifications (artistic, cultural, linguistic…). The EVS will be able to develop projects (exposition, concert, spectacle, workshop…) that she will also carry out according to her affinities and in agreement with the teaching staff.

Expected working hours: Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday : 9:00 to 13:45 and 16:45 to 18:00
French School holidays are free.
