Resumo: The host organization have 2 centers is the centre that can hosts EVS activities. It is located in a municipality of around 10,000 inhabitants; which is are located in the Northern part of the province. The coach service runs every hour. In theboth villages, the landscape is very varied, because sited between the hills of the Lake Garda and the long and wide valley of the Regional Park.

The area has typically agricultural economy, although in the years after World War II there has been an increase in industrial production and a vibrant tertiary activity.
It is a typical rural area, although starting from World War II industrial production and a lively tertiary sector have increased.
The nearest train station. Few kilometres from the villages you can find the Lake, one of the biggest Italian lake, very appreciated also by foreign tourists.

EVS volunteers are asked to respect certain rules that also apply to guests or tenants, for example in the Casa 1 to stick to meal times, or not to meet with male relatives or friends within the structure, at Casa 2 to agree with the operator about any visits from family and friends..

Perfil: Abramo onlus Assciation is open to host volunteers of age who prove:
- Motivation, interest and sensitivity towards the project and the issues linked to child care and social integration of disadvantaged minors
- Flexibility and willingness to comply with community rules
- Common sense and balance: since this experience entails an interaction with disadvantaged people, strong personality and maturity in terms of social skills are required
Previous involvement in activities in the same field would also be an interesting asset and a useful chance for sharing experiences.

We usually host female volunteers, because inserting young males in an place where young women live a difficult phase their lives, would expose them to potential dynamics that it may be difficult to manage

Tarefas: 1. Examples of activities at Casa 1:
Morning: - Taking the children to school / Activities with the children who stay at home (recreation, dances and songs from different countries)*
- Creative Workshop (handicrafts, do-it-yourself, etc.) according to the volunteers’ skills
- Walks and small excursions to “explore” the surroundings
- Recreational activities
- Readings and fairy tales (from different cultures)*
- Preparation of typical dishes together with the hosted women*
- Help during lunch
Afternoon: - Picking up the children from school
- Drawing Workshop
- Recreational activities (games of different countries)*
- Homework support
- Watching films/cartoons

Examples of activities Casa 2:
Mattino: Welcoming of the youngest children and entertainment at the children care place (recreation, dances and songs from different countries)*
Walks and small excursions to “explore” the surroundings
Recreational activities (games of different countries)*
Help during lunch
Pomeriggio: Help in putting the children to sleep after lunch
Recreational activities
Creative Workshop (handicrafts, drawing, etc.) according to the volunteers’ skills
Homework support at the children’s flat as well
* As for activities with a significant intercultural aspect we will try involve the women as well, with the help of the staff and other volunteers
A more detailed programme will be customised according to volunteers’ educational background and skills, respecting their personal interests and making the most of their original contribution.

Horário: There are 35 working hours per week, including team meeting, supervision and language training. They will have 2 days-off per week (usually Saturday and Sunday). In case of extraordinary activities, schedule and days-off can vary. Moreover they will have a holiday period counting 2 days per each month of work, which they can choose to spend all together or split in single different days. The details will be discussed in advance together with the persons in charge of the project.
