Resumo: The host organization cellebrates ist 25th anniversary. It was founded in November 1985 as organisation and on 13th March 2007 as a Foundation by a group of solidary, unselfish people, aware of the new situation of migrants coming to the city and to the country. It is non-profit and plural, formed from private initiatives.

It was founded with the aim of supporting migrants with their integration in our society without having to give up their contributions, values and cultures, and considering their presence as a positive fact. Our idea is to build an intercultural, united society.
In 2010 the Foundation attended 4771 people, 1896 young people aged between 15 and 25 years among them.

Our daily project pretends to contribute to a social change:
-Hosting migrants
-Respecting their cultural identity
-Promoting equal rights
-Raising awareness in society about the new multicultural reality
-Creating integration and positive neighbourhood links between migrants and Spanish people.

Perfil: Volunteers: with any skill enabling the activities to carry out: communication, sports, group entertainment, team work, intermediation, etc. There will be no job substitution; the staff members will coordinate or supervise the activities. Volunteers will not be alone, they will work with the managers-coordinators of the project. Nevertheless, we usually recognise and value the responsibility of volunteers carrying out their tasks, considered with the same importance as that of staff members.

Recruitment: first selection of cvs. Second selection, reading motivation letters, carried out by the mentor and the supervisor where volunteers will participate. Finally, the selected people are informed by the sending organisation.

Selection is done taking into account the profiles matching the aims of the project and the tasks. The motivation letters shall express a wish to be useful to others, being open-minded and respectful, as well as a lot of concern for solidarity and unselfishness. Furthermore, sending organisaitons backing volunteers will be trustworthy.

That is, they will become acquainted with the problems dealt with and learn about how to do things, asking any question they may have and taking notes of observations.
At the end of this stage, the supervisor and mentor will consider if they can move to the second stage.
2. Accompanied work. Duration: 3-4 months.
The volunteer will work accompanied by their supervisor or staff member.
The volunteer will programme the activities with the supervisor, who will help, control, correct, evaluate, encourage him/her and increasingly give him/her more autonomy.
If the manager considers it appropriate, the volunteer will participate in the coordination and/or supervision meetings with the working team.
After the suitable evaluation with the tutor and trainer, this stage will be considered finished.

3. Mentored work. Until the end of the EVS project.
The volunteer will start working autonomously, although always under the supervision of the supervisor or mentor.
The volunteer will be responsible for the programming of activities, under the supervision of the mentor, and of assessing them with the group.
