social muster alone and without any help.
In the Agneshaus they can find a community like a familiy. The absorption takes place in
cooperation with the youth welfare service.

same time they could get more social skills.
The pedagogic work is based on a integrated and systemic approach. continuity and reliability are
important points. The inhabitants take part in all tasks in the community and should take over
responsibility fort their own and their children and should learn to run a household, to deal with
money and administrative bodies. The are empowered to make a professional training.
The EVS project would like to give an invitation to knock down borders, awaken interest in one
another and get to know the social system in Germany.
The volunteer has the chance to develop their own project in presenting their own country e.g.,
history, social, political, economic situation whereby the disabled people gather new experience and
knowledge about the respective country which serves to broaden their own horizons and on the other
hand supports the process of European unity.
The Caritas association Leipzig e.V. is hosting volunteers from all over Europe since 2005.
Leipzig is located in the northwest of the Free State of Saxony. The city and its 500,000 inhabitants
became known throughout the world in the fall of 1989 as the center of the peaceful revolutionary
movement in East Germany. Its being home to the second oldest university in Germany as well as
serving as an important trade fair center have both had a decisive influence on the city to the present
day. Around 1 million people visit Leipzig every year, enjoying the city's lively atmosphere and
diverse cultural offering"
Perfil: "We would like to see the following: reliability, punctuality, autonomy, team skills, willingness to
integrate, creativity, diversely interested, basic knowledge of German, computer knowledge."
Tarefas: "The volunteer is involved in the every day life togehter with the women and children. Important are
the every day duties as well as leisure time activities. The volunteer supports the women in taking
care for their children. If the mothers are in school or training the volunteer takes over the child care
under instruction by the pedagogues. A facilitation according to the special needs of the children is
important. The volunteer can learn about the special programms and can try to handle them. Through
the contact to the women of the same age there is the possibility of unterstanding each other on the
same level. Through a special relationship to one or two women or children with a special task this
possibility will be deepened. Own ideas and suggestions concerning the leisure time activities are in
demand. The volunteer has the chance to develop an own project, in which he or she presents his or
her own country. This could be e.g. handicraft, music or cooking. The volunteer is involved in the
pedagogical and organizational planning. Furthermore he or she can get closer to the work and
structure of the Caritas assication Leipzig e.V. She can take part in a language course regularly."
