Resumo: The host organization in a little town (110.000 inhabitants) it is also well connected to the famous art cities thanks to an efficient railway service and to the rest of Italy and some parts of Eastern Europe thanks to its airport. The presence in the city of various Faculties linked to the University of Bologna brings each year to the city many students coming from all over Italy and also from other European and extra-European countries thus contributing to the creation of a multicultural environment and stimulating the social life and the entertainment offers in the local territory.

The volunteers will perform their service respectively in the Daily Socio-Rehabilitative Centre and in the Daily Socio-occupational Centre accessible thanks to the transport system of the cooperative. So the volunteers will have to adjust their behavior to the internal rules and participate actively to recreational activities concerning the residents. The volunteers will have to adapt to the domestic environment and participate to the daily activities linked with the care of the centre and of the residents and with the lab and recreational activities.

The volunteer will have the possibility to develop his/her individual competences participating to the different activities and learning how to manage the relationships with the users and the professional staff. In particular, the volunteer will support the staff in the organization of leisure activities offering his/her skills with the chance to realize personal projects. In this way, the volunteers will be able to improve their transversal competences such as the communicative skills, decision-taking skills, attention to the interpersonal dimension and to the development of others’ abilities through a non formal learning process in which they will be supported by professionals and by their tutor.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: 1. Creative workshops
• Supporting the operators and the users in their spare time to help to develop personal hobbies or particular competences and creativity (creating objects to use during everyday life, painting, drawing, gardening, etc), in order to facilitate their socialization and relationships.
2. Psicomotricity
• The volunteer will support the operators in psychomotricity, physio-therapical and recreational activities. Also in relaxing a non-verbal communication activities.
3. Drama and musical activities
• collaborating with the operators in the creation of moments of aggregation, parties, etc and in stimulating users’ creativity and helping to easy communication and relationships with other people. These moments could also be dedicated to getting a better knowledge of particular aspects of the birth country of the volunteer or the users.
5. Horticulture activities
• (only in the case of the Daily Socio-occupational Centre) supporting the operator and the users in the managment of the garden of medicinal herbs according to the season (sowing, harvest, drying up, ecc.)
6. Activities of support and assistance
• Supporting the professional workers in taking care of the disabled people, with transports, meals and other everyday activities in the center
